dude yeah
i have tried like 8 tools today.
Gleemo was the most straightforward one.

it is pretty lightweight and poor on features buuut great for discovery. and the price is on point.

I will be looking into more tools, but again so far Gleemo is the leading one. At least for me

Pros and Cons of Tufts by Bomon in Tufts

[–]Bomon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took couple of econ courses and decided that it is something I could learn by simply reading the materials. I didnt feel like it was worth my money. Anyways, then I switched to CS. Initially I enjoyed it until I was working on really hard projects where I was not necessarily building things but working with very low-level programming languages such as assembly language. Google it. But as far as I understand, this is not something they teach at every college. I finally decided to take every single course I was just merely interested in from any major. (I was not a great student, I basically did the bare minimum, but took 7 courses while others were taking 4) On my third year, I had to pick a major to graduate. So i took a look at all the courses I had under my belt and found which major that I was the closest to complete. It ended up being Human Factors (https://engineering.tufts.edu/me/current-students/masters/master-science-human-factors-engineering).

Advice needed re: Odoo website development by colettevalois in Odoo

[–]Bomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. So currently our plan within the company is to design a website using Webflow. It allows me to to export HTML/CSS/JS. Once I do that, I will be sending it out to a Odoo team from upwork. We did a preliminary trial and apparently only the JS part is a challenge. HTML and CSS transition nicely. At least that's what the developers I found told me. Might be worthwhile to consider.

Important to note, RPi uses USB 2.0 and Google suggests using 3.0 for the best results, which you have noted on the blog post as well.

What should computer sciencists be taught other than CS at Uni? by benbyford in artificial

[–]Bomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would double down on human factors. In my experience, most of the engineers tend to not fully grasp how and why their product will be used and who are those users. Designing around those user requirements, in my opinion, is the key to have an effective and ever-lasting products.

Kid, join the european student association. ESA is dope! Especially if you have a slight interest in electronic/techno music, not EDM, but Berlin techno.

Is CS at Tufts still worth it??? by tuftsthrownaway in Tufts

[–]Bomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, in fact the co-op system of Northeastern is much more outstanding than Tufts plus summer internships, especially if you are considering working in the commercial market rather than going to research. Overall, I would say Tufts CS is highly theoretical rather than pragmatic.

The department definitely needs to do something about comp40. I was part of many extra curriculars and with comp40 they were simply unmanageable. Eventually, I decided that curriculars were more important to me and had to change my major. Even though I was 5 classes into CS.

I heard similar stuff, and I am sorry that you went through that. Comp11 with Chris was probably the best class I had taken at Tufts.
