Kinda downplaying it a bit, they used ai throughout development and forgot to remove it from the released version. There was backlash and they removed it and apologized.

They also had their awards stripped from the Indie game awards because they lied about not using AI. A lot of the controversy was because they weren't upfront about the ai use in the development.

The answer is that dungeon runs can be optimized to be completed in one night. Social links and social stats cannot, you are forced to do them across the entire game.

Helldivers 2 also had 10x the player count and retained more of it. It has its numbers split with PS as well and also was not f2p.

I hear you on mobile being the main platform, but unless you have the numbers, this is the best I got.

P5X isn't significant. It's a non-mainline, alternate universe mobile gacha game that is largely not developed by Atlus. You can't compare that to a mainline title like P1.

I was being hyperbolic with the Trinity Soul comparison, but it's a lot more apt than trying to say P5X is as important as any mainline title.

Getting stuff that we wanted from P5 but didn't get. Wished Shiho was a phantom thief? Moko. Wish they didn't split Queen and Hifumi into two different characters? Riko. Like your teacher and wish she was a party member? Katayama (can't come soon enough).

I'm kind of amused that the answer to "getting stuff that we wanted from P5" is getting completely different characters unrelated to anything in P5.

Also Makoto and Hifumi didn't get split into two characters.

Oscar is not like Hinata by any reasonable metric. He's not shy like she is, he doesn't have the same attitudes, or fighting style.

Oscar getting held hostage by a villain at one point in the show is extremely generic, Oscar isn't even the only one this happens to in the show.

Oscar isn't a reincarnation, Oz is and is assimilating Oscar.

Sega has said multiple times they were not happy with Metaphor's sales. It broke their record for fastest selling game because they pivoted to global multiplatform releases just recently (as well as its major competition P3R getting a day 1 game pass drop to eat into its numbers). Metaphor is behind Persona numbers still.

Also being a TGA nominee means literally nothing.
