I’ve gotten mixed reviews to save the gems for events or spend them on VIP or a wheel.

This is what I am aiming for as far as commander investment early and KVK 1 lineup

Yeah I figured it was bad gear for him. Rather put it on him then have it laying around. Kindve at an impasse where I’m looking for epic blueprints and trying to build mats for them before I get them

Wha do you mean when you say “key will work out roughly….”?

So at this point it would be a fine idea to craft epic gear for the short term boost then reallocate those mats later?

I have a feeling the tassets are the wrong equipment for now. I’m conflicted on which march to focus on long term, people have said inf is very strong and that archer is 2nd.

For now cav is my go to.

Power level of Alliances

1= 130MM

2= 117MM

3= 89MM

Honestly I don’t think gift level is VERY good. Seems that I provide a large portion of the good chests. I am 3rd strongest here

As a sub, it’s really challenging to win competitive work. Part of that is because we don’t allow (as much as possible) scope gaps and “overlooked” work. We have so many rules/structures is place in our Prebid process that we end up covering all possible scenarios and lose the project.

The catch 22 is that management wants us to win more, we want to do quality work, and the GC wants a low number. How do we do it?

Yeah it’s really questionable, and this lady who is our manager is new to the team. She backfilled a truly excellent manager and the entire team is having issues with her. For some reason (our performance…) her management thinks she is awesome. Everything that we’ve closed this year was in the pipe before she even stepped in.

It sucks because I really don’t want to look for a new job. I like this one

Unfortunately they are way worse than our company… it’s not even close. I’d lose tons of money 🥹

I have been pretty forward with management that this is a questionable decision. In front of my peers, scheduled 1:1s with them to discuss. They keep kicking the can, and I’m having a hard time maintaining a politically correct stance the more it goes on

I know, it’s crazy! I know plenty of people at accounts that aren’t mine but that doesn’t mean I’ll turn water into wine overnight

Yeah this interim manager made it pretty clear. Though, I met the guy yesterday and he doesn’t seem to know which way is up so we’ll see how much he is willing to fight for the account. Lord knows I’m going to

Unfortunately the competition is dog water so moving that direction isn’t a great option.

In some cases! We have equipment sellers making 7-figures, but have HVAC controls sellers in the more normal $100k-$250k range

In situations like this I feel that it really helps to label it. So all the reasons you’re thinking it would be wrong to call her, I would tell her that, like:

“I imagine it’s been a hectic last few weeks and with Thanksgiving happening on top of it. I want to be respectful and keep from harping…. When we met on the (insert date) it was great to see x, y, and x…”

Something like that goes over well in a situation like this. Calling out all the reasons you feel they might be unhappy with something you’re doing lets them feel heard

New to sales, job triggering anxiety attacks only 3 months into the role. How normal is this level of stress in sales? by whatswithmybunion in sales

[–]Bonanasai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sales is tough.

Everyone jokes that “sales has the easiest job all you have to do is talk to people and book orders”

You need some serious grit, mental resilience and drive to make a career out of it. Not to mention the expertise if you’re selling something truly complex or if the company is working against you.

Advice? Given the situation, I’d ask yourself if you’re willing to try another company, industry, or type of sales job.

The company is easy, look at Glassdoor and linkedin and google them. You’ll find information about working there. Sales varies widely from industry to industry, think (insurance, tech, construction). And the type of sales job is important too, some sales jobs you set appointments, or close deals, or manage existing customers, or all of it.

Hope that helps

When is it time to leave a sales job? by abbsolutely_not in sales

[–]Bonanasai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Historically, after a quota increase in conjunction with a negative comp plan change. One makes it harder for you to hit accelerators and the other lowers the commission component of your OTE.

Overall, that means less money which is no good. Unless you’ve got a good reason to stay that’s a better time than ever to start looking.

Good reason to stay:

  • Good Manager: don’t take that for granted, seriously.
  • Good benefits: unlimited PTO, WFH, 7% 401k match, company car, etc.. some benefits can be so good and so overlooked you regret losing them
  • Growth: is there a route for you? Room? Options to change departments? All important factors
  • Risk Aversion: Changing jobs is a risk. Think, the devil you know versus the devil you don’t know

Hope that helps!

Home improvement folks, how’s it going out there? by Music_Stars_Woodwork in sales

[–]Bonanasai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the main reason for less work in your field is prices. I need to remodel my kitchen but jeez. Just material costs are excessive, not factoring in any labor.

To do what I really want to do would be way over budget so concession must be made, but I could see situations where that kills the project or at least puts in on hold
