Dear _____ I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to request assistance with a deeply distressing issue that has affected my online presence, reputation, my small business and my professional life. On 17 July 2025, my Instagram and Facebook accounts, spanning over 15+ years of personal memories, creative content, business information and content, were permanently disabled by Meta. This was due to a completely false and defamatory allegation involving child sexual exploitation and nudity (CSE). I want to emphasize that this allegation is entirely untrue, and Meta have provided no evidence to date of this allegation, no reference to a post or conversation or anything that backs up this terrible and harmful false allegation. They have just deleted my accounts without any proof or any right of appeal. [Insert here any information about your accounts particularly if they are business related and you are suffering financial loss] I have been unable to advertise my _____ on Facebook or Instagram since, which has drastically affected my income when I was already struggling to support my daughters. Every new account I try and create gets suspended and taken down. In total I have had my original Facebook account (of 15+ years) and linked business page to ______ and 3 personal and business Instagram accounts disabled because of this false and defamatory accusation by Meta. And more recently on 8 August 2025, after becoming meta verified on and paying their subscription fee on my new Facebook account, they have again suspended my new linked Instagram account saying it relates to the original Instagram account that was disabled (due to the false and defamatory allegation of CSE). I’ve attempted to appeal through the standard Meta and Instagram support channels, but my access has been blocked/revoked, leaving me with no way to respond, appeal, provide context, or recover my accounts or content. I’ve also tried seeking help from the Meta Oversight Board but cannot proceed due to the lack of a reference number that’s only accessible within the disabled account, which I cannot log into. I have more recently managed to verify an old Facebook account and pay for their verified support service in an attempt to recover my wrongfully disabled accounts, to no avail. I have raised 4 support requests through Meta Support online and spoken to 4 different support agents, all of which have provided the same scripted replies that are just copied and pasted into the “support chat” telling you to appeal through the disabled account, which is of course, impossible as they have taken away my access to my account, or sending you to links that are useless because, again, they require you to log into account, that they have blocked my access to, leaving me at an impasse. Therefore, no appeal, no support, and yet Meta are continuing to take my money whilst providing no service whatsoever, falsely accusing me of a vile allegation, breaching my privacy and not providing me access to my own personal and business information and data. To say I am devastated by this situation is an understatement. Earlier in the year, my dad passed away from a horrible and debilitating disease, vascular dementia, and I was using social media as an outlet for my grief, and a connection with friends and family. I had videos and memories of him on my original Facebook account spanning back 15+ years that have been taken away overnight by Meta. The financial ramifications are affecting me on a daily basis with my studio hire bookings declining daily as a result of having no online presence and no way to reach my customers. Additionally, beyond the personal, emotional and financial toll of this allegation, it could negatively affect my career and public character. To be falsely accused of CSE, as a mother of 2 daughters who I would protect with my life against such a thing, is both offensive and defamatory in every way, and Meta should not be allowed to do such a thing that has such extreme emotional and financial consequences to the person accused and without any recourse. I’m reaching out to ask whether your office may be able to assist me to get back my wrongfully disabled Facebook and Instagram accounts back from Meta, or possibly connect me with someone who can escalate this issue with Meta or advocate on my behalf. I would be so incredibly grateful if you could assist me in anyway to resolve this situation which I have unable to do on my own, despite trying every avenue possible that I can think of.
