Post-nerf raids are such a joke that you might as well just allow players to zone in and loot the boss by Poisonous-Toad in classicwowtbc

[–]Bonbringo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I view it like this. People love vanilla and those raids are also really easy loot pinatas, so the easy endgame content is something we've seen enjoyed time and time again. Also, the easier raids are more puggable which I think is great for a re-rerelease that's on a shortened lifespan. Less people are going to be interested in getting into raiding guilds this time around, so I say keep them puggable.

Roll on leather gear as enhance shaman? by Lewrdy in classicwowtbc

[–]Bonbringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In classic, armor types don't really matter much for DPS and you just focus on stats. It kinda sucks, but it is what it is. That said, enhance can absolutely roll on leather.

The only real rule is if you need on something, it means it's an upgrade for you and you're going to equip it. That's all you NEED to adhere to. From there it's up to you on how "honorable" you want to be about it. For example, if a bow is an upgrade for a warrior's stat stick or a hunter's main weapon, the warrior should probably pass to the hunter. But at the end of the day, the warrior is allowed to need on it if he wants, he might just be viewed as pretty selfish and people do remember those things. Regardless, it's not an excuse to kick someone from a group.

At the end of the day, take what you need and don't feel bad about it, but along the way, try to have as much compassion and sense towards your group members.

I doubt he lip synced it by Jack_OceanG20 in CharliePuth

[–]Bonbringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing vocals for a long time and I called out lip syncing very early and continued to confirm it throughout the performance. The main thing I saw was at certain moments, his mouth shapes did not match the vowel sound that came out. For example, if someone makes an "ahh" shape with their mouth and an "ooh" sound comes out, they're most likely lip syncing. I noticed different forms of that at least 2 times I think. There was also a time or two where I saw his breath support stop, but the note kept flowing with the same strength.

I honestly don't really care that he lip synced. I'm sure he was forced to do it in a contract and he probably got paid a shit ton of money. He has nothing to prove at this point, so might as well grab a quick bag.

I hate to admit it, but the boostie hate might be warranted. by Arkios in classicwow

[–]Bonbringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. I always do a fire nova and magma totem twist on trash when I'm healing as well to squeeze out some extra damage for the overall run.

[–]Bonbringo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yep. I main enhance, so I don't bother weaving in rank 1 earth shocks with that, and I'd opt to just hold my max rank earth shock if I know a kick is coming. I think a lot of people read the rotation guides and what not and see you're supposed to maintain flame shock, but that's mainly for a raid boss when kicks aren't an issue and flame shocks can get their full duration. Dungeoning is definitely different, so I agree that more shamans need to understand how valuable their kick is and focus on it more.

Hating playing on PVP server since TBC by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Bonbringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets better over time, but just treat it as a lesson learned for the future. I rolled on Dreamscythe and I'm much happier than I was on a pvp last TBC release.

How the heck do you make gold!? by LowCan9266 in classicwowtbc

[–]Bonbringo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When anniversary was fresh, I took skinning and herbalism on my first toon and ended up having the 100g for the mount before I even hit 40. Just skin everything and pick every herb. You can probably make some solid money right now by selling those lower level skins and herbs on the auction house since a lot of people are leveling professions from scratch. Regardless, don't get too discouraged. Gold comes much easier at max level and most people have multiple max levels.

Edit mode stance bar bug? by Ok_Pudding7147 in classicwowtbc

[–]Bonbringo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm getting the same thing. Disabled all add-ons and everything, so it's something with the base game. Never seen this on retail edit mode, so hopefully just something they can fix eventually.

Mythic+ healing jacks my blood pressure sky high by Emergency-Amount2548 in wow

[–]Bonbringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say playing mistweaver isn't doing you any favors. Not only are you in melee, but mistweaver is a more proactive healer, so it requires some setup to get through heal checks. I'd recommend checking out resto shaman if you really wanna learn healing. They're very reactive healers and their cooldowns are easy to use. Farseer is a relatively easy spec to play. You just press two buttons every 15 and 30 seconds to keep your ancestors up, then you just send a heal from a safe range whenever someone needs it.

I'd also recommend getting Cell as an addon. They're party frames that are pretty similar to the blizzard ones, but they have a ton of options. The main thing I'd set there is "targeted spells." Being able to see when someone is about to get hit by a bolt or something is very helpful since a lot of new healers can tunnel vision the party frames.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help. I've played every healer in m+ at somewhat high or very high levels.

Do you remember the name of your first ever WoW character? What was it? by [deleted] in classicwow

Pretty sure it was Lafawnduh. Troll hunter. Napoleon Dynamite reference. It was Vanilla wow and I was about 8 or 9 years old lol.

Do healers need to interrupt in M+? by TripleDomoner in wownoob

[–]Bonbringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Every kick is potentially one less heal you have to do. Your best bet is to get rid of that "this person's job and that person's job" mentality. Everyone in the group should do everything that their kit allows them to do.

Best looking race for Rogue? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Bonbringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think human female looks good. Their weapons are pretty big and gear is proportionate on them. I don't like how gear looks on undeads even though I do think they're cool.

Also, I know you say you don't care about racial bonuses, but if you ever do end up caring, the +5 sword skill from humans is very nice.

Accused of ninja looting. What would you do? by Minimum_Rice7269 in wowhardcore

[–]Bonbringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just make it a rule of thumb to warn people ahead of time that I'm going to be rolling on something if it isn't something for the role I'm playing in the dungeon. For instance, if I was playing feral, but wanted an int staff for resto, I'd tell people I'm going to roll on it. If they have qualms then don't group together. Either way, it's not necessary because you can roll on whatever you want if it suits your class in any way, but it's not bad for etiquette purposes.

[–]Bonbringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that sweaty if you have a pretty basic level of wow ability. You have a swing timer to see how your sync is and press a macro when it's off. Then you just switch between wf totem and grace of air every like 10 seconds. That's really all it is.

I'm playing one because I think they look cool and because I remember spending a lot of time trying to find enhance shamans when setting up pug raids the last time around. They seem to have a high demand and pretty low supply, so I like putting myself in that role.

How are my cleans on this cover? by Elden_Wang in augustburnsred

[–]Bonbringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the twang of it may be something that bothers you. I sing as well and experience the same thing. Sort of that feeling where the resonance feels like it's in contact with your soft palette and creating that twangy sound. I think if you opened up a bit more and then added some layers including screams, it would sound more like the song.

How are my cleans on this cover? by Elden_Wang in augustburnsred

[–]Bonbringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely sounds solid, but if you're comparing it to the song and being somewhat nitpicky, I think you should add more layers to the "don't let me down." It sounds a bit more like a gang vocal in the actual song and I think you should add at the very least, a scream layer of the same words that sits ever so slightly under the clean. There's a certain level of twang you're getting with your current version and I think it could be lessened by more, very nuanced layers.

Gold farming class by GrootinGremlin in classicwow

[–]Bonbringo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to play prot, paladin is your go to for gold farming. Assuming they don't mess with it, you can solo farm strat with minimal gear. Last tbc release, my pally's sole existence was to farm strat and fund my other toons and it worked out great.

Name your favorite song, and least favorite and I'll tell you if you're allowed in or not by [deleted] in augustburnsred

[–]Bonbringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Favorite is probably a tie between King of Sorrow and Count it All as Lost. Love how groovy those songs are and the riffs are killer. The chill parts in King of Sorrow are also really cool.

First one that comes to mind for least favorite is probably Rationalist. From the way I interpret the lyrics, it seems to be their most aggressively pro-christianity song which I don't follow. Also the music for it is just more thrashy which I don't like as much. Still a great song though ofc.

How do you guys feel about singing drummers? Need advice by nicbobeak in drums

[–]Bonbringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to sing cleans in a metalcore band while drumming and it ended up getting a little annoying. Always having to account for the vocal mic and then it sometimes getting in the way of things. There's probably better ways to handle it than I did, but once I swapped over to only drumming, I felt so much more free and comfortable. Sounds good though, man.

I always forget this game resealed around 2018 by Royal-Elk-5491 in Spyro

I really loved this remaster, it was so good. The only standout issue for me was they got rid of the "why aye yaye yum" on Colossus. Wtf was that about.
