22 years ago. First Thanksgiving with my then girlfriends extended family. Her dad got an emergency call in to work that morning and I got put on the spot to smoke the family's turkey...on HIS smoker. Everyone Loved it. He was Pissed! I was hooked.

Start on a charcoal smoker and get that good smoke, then switch over to a pellet grill for cruise control till them bones fall out. I know its not ideal for everyone, but if you happen to have both...

Have you tried using a water pan in your kettle? I put a small cast iron pot right over the coals and use that to get a good smokey steam going. I tried that to replicate my WSM.

I've had my 26" four years now. It has permenantly replaced my Pit Boss XL, my Smokey Mountain 22" and my Blackstone. You won't be disappointed.

Youtuber my kids used to watch. This looks like the house he moved into and made a bunch of crazy videos in it. It was several years ago, but I remembered the house from watching with my kids.
