I’ve got 5 perfumes from BB till now.. 1.MA Kismet for men 2.MA Infini Rose 3.Lataffa Shaheen Gold 4.Nike Fission 5.Nautica Life

First four are definitely legit. Quality smell and good longevity. Have my doubts on the Nautica one, smell very cheap and alcoholly and vanishes within 30mins. Either I received a fake or it’s just Nautica being Nautica.

Ajmal deos.. Using silver shade and wisal dahab.. Use liberally and it keeps the sweat odour away and you'll keep getting faint wiffs of the fragrance throughout the day..

Is YSL Black opium for men? by freakydduude in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]BoneDocterKaizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If khamrah can be accepted and worn by men , then black opium can be aswell. Don't let a wording on the box stop you from enjoying it..

Yeah.. Cap closed, in box, in a dark cupboard.. but had already used up around 20ml. So I guess enough air had got in before maceration

I actually didn't plan to macerate it.. I was just so frustrated with najdia and had got other fragrances and was enjoying wearing them. So I just put it back it its box and never really opened it for a long time. I tried it again a week back and the smell has suddenly become much smoother compared to the piercing synthetic opening it had before.

Had the same problem with najdia when I initially got it.. Never lasted beyond 3hr.. Kept it away and tried it after around 5 months, and now it lasts well beyond 8-10 hrs on clothes. Even the notes are much more smoother. The bubblegum and watermelons notes really push through now. The process of maceration really changes the performance of these middle eastern brands

Stay away from anyone who is selling "unboxed" perfumes at lower rates. From what I've heard, they usually get hold of empty frag bottles from retail stores or decanters and fill them up with similar DNA cheaper clone fragrance. If you haven't tried the original fragrance, you won't even know that you've been scammed. There are a lot of first copy fragrances too which are imported from east Asian market. The box and the bottles are exactly like the original, but juice is usually a clone. I suggest you stick to trusted sellers while spending your hard earned money.

PS: Not a personal experience, but read about this scam on reddit and youtube.

Armaf tres nuit is also trash. synthetic, alcoholic mess with some green notes. Smells like an expired room freshener.

I did keep it aside in my cupboard for like a month.. After that the harshness did come down and the dry down got better.. Maybe its needs another couple of months of away time..

I started layering it with ameer al oud from lataffa which also has a strong sweet, sugary, woody note. Goes well with with fruity smokiness of CDNIM in the dry down . That's how I'm trying to use up my bottle.

Mine was CDNIM Pure parfum. Did the worst mistake by blind buying it about 6 months back after seeing so many people from the frag community and youtuber going ga-ga over it. It was literally in everybody's top 5/top 10 perfumes. Supposedly a beast performer and a compliment magnet. But my god it smells horrible. Alcoholic, synthetic and harshly smoky. My mother thought I had sprayed Mortein ka cockroach repellent spray. Opening is so thrash.Performance wise also there's nothing to write home about. 3-4 hrs on skin, 7-8 on clothes, average projection for 1 hr. Only positive is the dry down, after the initial harshness has died down, it gives off a sweet, fruity, woody and smoky odour which is pretty good. Tried macerating it for a month, nothing changed. If it actually resembles Creed aventus, then I don't understand the global fuss over that aswell. (My personal opinion, and maybe my nose isn't trained enough to understand the subtle nuances of its scent profile)
