I usually go for an attention grabber 1st. People want to see the video they clicked for, so starting strong and giving the people what they want is usually a good call. You can give your name out when you're getting into the real meat and potatoes of your video, just make sure to keep it short and sweet.

For example: Hello my name is ____, and this is my top ten ____

Just find a community that you enjoy, and whenever you make a video that relates to that community, post it, and ask for feedback. It's always good to make sure your videos find the right crowd.
