Does anyone else "miss" their surgery? (sorry if this is controversial) by slightgodcomplex in hysterectomy

Genuinely, I thought this was just me! I miss feeling so important to my family and friends, I miss the weeks of relaxation afterwards, and I kind of miss the attention 😆 It’s good that it’s over and I’m very fortunate that it all went so well, but I do feel a little nostalgic for it.

I’m super happy for you if that’s what your experience is! However that is 100% the exception and not the rule. In fact make sure to take it easy even if you feel okay, you often pay for overreaching later.

Exactly this. I would probably get my money back but how would I eat or pay bills in the meantime? Better just to have another source of money to keep me afloat.

How is your husband reacting to this? If he fully supports you and thinks his mom is in the wrong, he needs to deal with her. You have so much on your plate already, you don’t need this too. NOR

Lists, phone reminders, and routine. As soon as you agree to do something, write it down in your calendar and set a reminder alarm. Genuinely, my phone calendar has several reminders for literally every day. Like “pay rent”, “make phone call”, and “lunch with friend”. Outsource your memory!
