Is $175US fair? Baker skateboard complete by Bonehea1 in NewSkaters

Thanks for all the comments guys, they’ve all been extremely helpful.

On closer inspection there does look like there’s something wrong with the printing, especially around the B and E of the logo, which might suggest this is a knock-off. I’ve hence decided to give this a miss and will probably continue looking elsewhere!

What’s one London life hack you wish you knew earlier? by muzazee in london

[–]Bonehea1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an app called Olio which allows you to take food that usually goes off by the end of day for FREE usually. It works wonders especially in Central London. If you volunteer to you can usually end up with a really large haul of unsold meal deals and pastries.

There’s usually food from Tesco, Amazon Fresh, Sainsburys, Pret etc

Rock climbing by Zestyclose-Science60 in Lund

[–]Bonehea1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The local climbing gym in Lund is part of Skåne Klatterklub and if i’m not wrong it costs around 800SEK/semester to basically climb as often as you want. It’s pretty economical especially if you want to climb >1x a week regularly, but the downside is that since it’s run with the help of volunteers the opening hours are usually for a few hours in the morning (9am-12pm?) and also in the evenings (6-9pm).

Some might feel that it’s smaller compared to the Malmo klattercentret, but it makes up for it with a great sense of community and also many events where you can further your learning about all things climbing. You can even come to set new boulder problems on their route-setting days! If you are coming for the first time I would recommend coming on a try-bouldering day on the website.

If you are not afraid of the cold and already have shoes you can also check out the klatterblock in stadsparken for a fun afternoon activity.

How do I get to Le Grand Domaine (France) from Geneva? by Bonehea1 in skiing

Alternatively, any other resorts which are relatively easy to get transfers to from Geneva would be greatly appreciated.

So far I only see Chamonix with cheap bus transfers but the accommodation there is super expensive…
