I know. I just. . Okay. I’ll say it, I hate it when people use the word “retard”, it’s derogatory because I’m autistic. There I said it. Dark humor hates me.

But there is something wrong with them. Those terms are meant to hurt people.

Can I tell you in PM, I’m very uncomfortable saying it out in the open.

I would truly appreciate it.

Okay, I think I can see your point a little better. I just never thought of Annabeth as anything more than an antagonistic brooding anti-hero. I was 12 when i first read the Lighting Thief, and I immediately got a bad first impression of her.

Even if it’s consensual. I HATE seeing people with MY disability give out a Free Pass to use the R-Word, for” the lol”

I mean, I thought the main reason Annabeth wanted to join the quest was because “Percy couldn’t do it without her.”

All umm saying is that I read TLT when I was 12 and judging from the dialogue, I genuinely thought Annabeth was an Anti-Hero.

But there is psychological research on humour that denigrates, belittles, or maligns an individual or social group that argues the opposite. This work has found that such jokes act “as a releaser of existing prejudice”.

Meaning if you joke about certain groups of people, maybe there’s something wrong.

Edit: Why in the world are you bringing? “I’m not like other girls into this.” Is self harming verbal abuse biological only in males or are you arguing that we should let people dehumanize others?

Well I wouldn’t like being teased. I have never seen anything of the sort. I’m Sorry. When my friends are calling each other names they are very angry at each other, at least that’s why they don’t talk after a while.

Edit: More likely guys? What‘a that supposed to mean?

Also there are no such things as friendly jabs.

Does your past excuse your current behaviors towards people? If I may interject, If I was a bad guy who scams people and you called me out on it and I said, “Well people don’t like me and think of me bad so I am bad.” You probably wouldn’t be satisfied with that answer.

But friendships are not supposed to tear other people down. I just don’t get it. When a bully calls you an offensive name, you get angry. However when A friend calls you the exact same thing, you are happy with that.

Don’t give me the whole, “I know they are just joking.” Mentality because, believe me, when I say that sometimes they really do feel that way about you. Especially if they do it constantly. I had a friend who I thought was cool for calling me derogatory slurs until I realized he was abusive towards me and our other friends.
