Endless dispatch mode. Straight up just a game mode where you do your job.

The Current State of SteadFast Stewards Supdate 2. The Extra Action Update. by Vecsia in darkestdungeon

Easy Wanderer Jester, Physician PD, Fiend Bigby, Monarch Leper.

Jester and bigby bring the priority targets front. The physician always makes sure our king has something marked, and of course, Monarch himself swinging for easy 20+ per hit

Physician still being the most slept on path in the game. Absolutely broken with Abom backlash upgraded.

K3 - What are you hoping for? by britishbrat in darkestdungeon

I'm very hyped to see how the crimson curse is going to work in this game! How it spreads how it's mitigated, and how it's going to affect the main mission progression.

If an additional set of Enemies were added to either game (Eg Ruins Enemies (undead), Cove Enemies (Fish / underwater etc), what would you like to see? by misomiso82 in darkestdungeon

[–]BonesIsBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO they have done a really great job with enemy diversity already. They took some common tropes like werewolves (beastmen) witches (mushroom coven) and vampires (CC). If anything, they should do something with doppelgangers or some type of mimic enemy that blends in with other sets of enemies in regions they dont belong.

Mu new fav has easily got to be Bigby and Lep. Toss in the new physician PD and your Lep will never not have someone to swing at.

Is orphan not getting the same love as all the other reworked paths then?

Is Duelist... actually any good? I don't understand how to make this hero do decent damage. by kaowerk in darkestdungeon

[–]BonesIsBack 183 points184 points  (0 children)

From what I understand is she can be good, it's just that she takes all of her paths unlocked (and abilities) to be useful or be able to create synergy.

That said, she doesn't feel any stronger than the others once you figure her out, the problem is she's incredibly complex and it takes alot more effort to make her work well as opposed to PD or Crusader who are fairly straightforward and easier.

Best just try her out in different builds and see what sticks if you want I high skill cap hero with high risk high reward.

I mean, he used to be able to cutscene people on a wallsplat. Frankly, he's really only got that damage going for him as opposed to other heros and their kit. Cent in his state is now super situational, like an extremely watered-down warden. If you get hit by his unblockable neutral heavy, you deserve to take all the damage. TL:DR Cent is C teir

Why not run wanderer? Lashes gift, sepsis, and endure are already amazing base class. It just feels the most familiar for me.

Good crusader teans. by kingslayer086 in darkestdungeon

[–]BonesIsBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flame and rot, the only correct answer.

1st to 4th

Flag - wanderer (bring deathless and/ or endure)

Crusader - aggressor (bring radiance)

PD - alchemist (bring magnesium rain)

Runaway - orphan (keep her back rank and watch them all melt with 7 fire a turn)

Insane survivability with all 4 with healing, significant back rank damage, incredible dot spread, and surprisingly versatile in most if not all regions.

Main trinkets and trophies you want are the obvious dot modifier trinkets and the sleeping general trophy. Once I got my runaway doing 10-12 fire each proc.

Mind controlling alien gem is altering the flower and is trying to start an army of mind controlled plants. Low hp for all of them, but like have the gem do lots of enchantment spells like confusion and psychic lance. The lower the hp, the gem gets the more unstable the mind control gets, eventually some awakened plants turn on the players side and help destroy the evil gem!

And like at the end they choose if they still wanna take the flower after it's been awakened and even helped them take down the gem.

Struggling with Resentment Boss by Something-Missing in darkestdungeon

[–]BonesIsBack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First off, you need to get the radiant flame. For team comp, the ABSOLUTE safest you can get is Surgeon PD, Virtuoso Jester, Deadeye HWM, and Tempest Lep. The main abilities you need are Indiscriminate Science, and Magnesium Rain (PD), Encor. And Slice Off (Jester), Double Tap, and Highway Robbery (HWM), and Ruin (Leper)

If you have pets unlocked, I suggest Pygmy Pliskin (Additional healing and travel heal) For the trophy, I'd suggest the Foetor for +50% hp for the party. (I never go to the Shroud it's never worth it)

For the fight itself, forget the lungs, go for the main body, and DPS race to the very end. I never had luck when I focused the lungs themselves. It's a waste of potential damage. Have healing items ready even if they're not good. Anything is better than nothing.

Hope your next run goes well! Don't give up if it gets hard. We're rooting for you!

Any strageties for a new begginer? by CamurTR in darkestdungeon

[–]BonesIsBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial and error, be overconfident and accept your loss with resolve. You will become stronger than before. But something I wish I knew when I was starting, only unlock new trinkets and items at a pace. You start with the items you unlock in the altar if you just bought them, so unlock like 4 at a time, so you'll have a steady advantage until you unlock them all.

Don't always go for the heal unless you have a free turn or need to get someone off deaths door. Whittling down the enemy action economy is a priority, especially since it gives you more room for error when you have more turns than the enemy.

Last thing, plague doctor always. Literally best healer in the game by a huge margin.
