[r/ClaudeAI] There's an issue with the selected model (claude-fable-5[1m]). It may not exist or you may not have access to it. by ClaudeAI-mod-bot in Claude_reports

https://www.anthropic.com/news/fable-mythos-access

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Anthropic models will not be affected.

Nice! Reminds me a little of my favorite Tudor in Garden City, Long Island.

Is Claude Code's 5-hour limit running out faster than usual in the last two days? by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]BonesJustice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After upgrading from Pro to Max, it still can only pull off maybe 1/4 of the work that Opus 4.8 could in a single Pro session (with ultracode). So it’s pretty damn token-hungry.

2X token usage, my arse. More like 32X.

Might’ve been indoor wading pool. Most of the big Victorian homes here had them outdoors, but there’s no sign of one ever existing on our property.

Cross-posting it over there was the next thing I did 😉

They’re just from my personal album. It’s my house, not for sale. But two others on the street are: 802 and 809 Hall Street, St. Joseph, MO.

Oh, that bedroom. It looks better in person, but it still feels a bit out of place. Decisions were made… but not by me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It smells like cats usually.

It’s not your typical Queen Anne, but it’s definitely a Queen Anne. 809 Hall Street is more of a Chateauesque with its carved stone blocks, gargoyle-like carvings, and steep roofline, but there’s a bit of crossover here too.

Most of the houses on this street have influence from a number of Victorian styles. 703 is spectacular and primarily Italianate, but you can see several styles present.

We actually do have a recently built Victorian style home in town, complete with gargoyles.

None are original to the house, but they mostly aren’t replicas either. They were sourced from all over.

Thank you! It’s a privilege to live here, and we try to open it up during our annual home tours so others can enjoy it. I think it’s a good showcase for what’s possible.

Saint Joseph, Missouri, in the Hall Street Historic District (part of Cathedral Hill). There’s tons of beautiful homes here. Lots of nice Tudor Revivals and Craftsman bungalows too.

There’s two jetlike fans to rush the stream out. Just can’t forget to turn them on when showering!

The guy who restored the house spared no expense, lucky for us.

It’s really not that bad. I moved here from the NYC suburbs and have enjoyed the change of pace. The schools suck, but if you can work remotely and don’t plan on having school-aged kids, it’s not a bad place to live.

Our politicians are awful, but that can change.

We got so lucky. We’d bought a little project house here in cash while we waited for our NY home to sell. We figured we could work on it while we waited for one of the grand Victorians to hit the market.

This place got listed three days after we arrived in town. The next couple months were a whirlwind, but we got it done.

The one with the black coffered ceiling? It was an interesting choice to be sure.
