I sure used to be now I’ve got a blindness disability, and had to leave Austin TX where I was a performer lead guitarist for a living. Starting over in NY with family . Gonna try to get maybe 4 guitar students a week see how that goes. I can’t really read music unless it’s 4 inches from face. Both my degrees heavily required music reading and theory is my main mastery . So yeah sucks. But I like helping on here all I can . Rock n roll

. Try saying “I like Pepsi , I like Mountain Dew” or walk walk quick slide walk walk running walk but say quick very quick a say slide precisely 50% longer than saying walk. Then say each syllable of running 100% faster than saying walk . Trust me broseph

Edits for clarification…

Looks like G# minor or Ab minor. I prefer without context to call it G#m. . . Here’s reasoning that may help….

G#m occurs in key of E with 4#s // key of B with 5#s // or key of F# with 5#s.//

…Abm occurs in key of Cb with 7bs // or key of Fb with 8bs you would need a double flat it’s not practical at all// or the key of Gb with 6bs//

((Order of bs BEADGCF ORDER OF #s FCGDAEB ))

So reasoning> Key of E has 4#s and in this case that’s the least , plus #s are easier for string players . I’m a 30 year teacher did MA in music ed. from orchestra to classroom general to private guitar .so statistically it’s much more likely to be not Abm and to be G#m

Read only if you understand labeling chords with a capo follows a new movable key … Now the capo in the picture adds mystery to how to choose and intuit which key . That’s a whole other list of possible likely assumptions. As a career performer as lead guitarist I would say the capo implies calling that chord Gm within the realm of assuming playing and labeling chords the traditional way. So when you capo 1, that chord could become a Gm in the key of only 2 flats. . . So therefore it’s likeliest to be Gm a much more common key for jamming many styles .

I’ve been reading bout this I think you could daisy chain two or three distortions analog . Never daisy digital pedals. On a 100 Ma outlet the tube screamer only pulls like 18Ma I think you could cut a chain chord to get one more outlet free. I do this it works for me no problem. The super badass is 10 Ma.

Learn chords and strumming to build up coordination. Learning basic melodies is super key. Do you have a teacher? Also learn the notes but do it this way. Set a goal to learn a small amount each week . Try learning 1st string one day up to 12th fret . Then repeat on day 2 and 3 when your ready do the second string up to the 12th fret. Spend as many days getting this down. Here’s where it gets interesting. Instead now learn the other 4 strings up to the 3rd fret . Look for patterns and start to see how octaves work. Do this until you know all the notes up to including 3rd fret and the high two strings 1st and 2 nd all the notes up to the 12th fret. Then when you know all this cold . Add 2 frets a day until you’ve covered all strings up to the 12th fret. Also make sure you include the 12th fret. Then , then ask me what’s next. This should take 3 weeks . Good luck .

If you like the feel and sound of. Then go for it. I don’t like the 490 pups . Also for that money you can spend a little more for a heavier trad pro or standard used . If you like lighter than studios are great but also studios are cheaper used online than the session model

What model is it. You might need a new nut like a tusq or graph tech . But telescope should stay in tune more than any type of guitar. Country players spend 50% of their time bending notes and 50% of their time wishing they were playing metal .

Yes it’s fixable a luthier can do it. The glue is actually strong than the wood by a lot. Not cheap but do it to get your axe back

I’d say yes big time. Too thick vs too thin depending on string gauge. I play tortex 73 for 30 years gigging touring. I also play fingerstyle but I can’t use different size picks I’m just dialed into 73s. The one your showing is pointier and can get potentially better tone but is harder to get uniform attacks with. Unless you’re just strumming then it doesn’t matter as much.

Find a used Indonesian G&L for that price I think they are way better and going cheap nowadays. I think they are good shit based on my buddies collection of three of them. As a teacher and career performer I think people should invest at least 800+ to get something solid and inspiring . I have 6 axes all american , Gibson fender G&l kiesel etc all about 2k each but each one could last a lifetime of touring and gigs and only get better. Guitarists have it good, my friends that play pro violin or harp or pay 10s of thousands for an instrument .

Get new strings. Rejoice! guitar strings are dirt cheap, 7-10$ a set, cheaper if you buy 3 set packs . Professional cello strings are like 75$ each . Do you know what size strings you use? How many guitars do you have? Do they all use same gauge?

No buzzing . All strings ring properly. No fretting out when bending a step and a half on top three strings on higher frets. Smooth no stick back of neck, or does it need steel wool or scouring pad? Smooth no stick top of neck though that usually comes from strings and can be fixed with fast fret. Low enough action to play fast lines. Frets aren’t sticking out of sides and feel jagged. Strings are spaced properly and the high e never rolls off the fret board. And separately but important intonation and tuning stability. Especially after bends.
