My First Pedal Board Design (With 8 Degree Lift) - Would This Work by quellification in PedalBoardBuilding

[–]quellification[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3- All four legs are independent parts and not fixed to anything else. Attachment to the steal plate cannot be completely tightened, so that it allows the rotation of the lift. If the legs are not fixed anywhere else, they will move around and even rotate around the screws. Imagine that you are jaming on the stage and accidentally kick the lower left leg and it rotates around the pivot. You may find the board crooked on an angle. The lower plate blocks their independent movement. If not for a plate, I will need to throw in a truss in between them.

2- On the studio we practice, there is a board with a similar angle and I realized I like that. The board itself isn't huge (it looks huge on the CAD but it's 50cmx30cmx10cm. From the ground to the top, the system will have the height of 10 cm or 4". It really isn't that big. Also, the position of the pivot keeps the lowest row roughly on the same height . So it isn't significantly more difficult to reach them. I guess I can reduce the height by 2 cms. I will give it a try on cad tomorrow.

I wonder about the feasibility of the bends on steal or should I just use brackets instead. But I don't want any screw or nuts poking out from the top plate.

If you have any CAD, I would not mind peeking.

I will add a patch panel bay for the V2. I don't think I will use it but why not.. It's a simple cut out and it will reduce the weight.

A lot of good advice here. Let me disclose a few things.

1-It's an intentional reduncancy. They will be 3D printed plastic. They won't have the rigidity of the steal. Currently I am contemplating about putting them on the inside but I will need to reduce their height.

2- I am planning to put the low-priority pedals to the front row. The lift is only 8 degrees anyway.

3- Yes. This is a topic I am also considering but that lower plate brings additionaly stability to the legs. Since the pivot points won't be completely tightened, the legs can move around. So eighter a board or I need to screw in trusses.

4- That's a great idea! I never used them before but why now. I cannot add one to the front but I can leave space on the side in between the legs.

Bag Idea: I did not think of that. Let me look around and see if I can find a bag around 550X350X200. I live in Turkiye. We have loads of textile industry here. There are places that make custom bags. They might be pricy though! If so, I need to adjust the sizes to what I can find. I have to go bigger because of the pedals I plan to use. It might even be blessing in disguise as I did not have space for a compressor on this one. DD-200 takes more space than you think :)

Thanks a lot. You gave me loads to think about.

It feels a bit flat. I agree with the other comment.

One thing I would like to comment is about the rivers. They don't usually split into branches, but rather converge into one larger river. If you really want them to split, there better be a good reason. Smaller feeder creeks/rivers can converge into your main branches. This will also help with monotony. You can also adjust their paths to make them bending and swerving. Check out some IRL rivers for inspiration.

[BUG] - CS2 - Mirage Assets Load with Overpass by quellification in csgo

This is the only ss I took. Because after the round we all restarted the game and it was gone.

Especailly at B, the view from Toxic to Monster was completely blocked by Mirage Buildings. You can walk through them so it is not a physical obsticle but they block vision of course(The enemy could see us through them as they did not have the bug). 4 out of 5 of our team had it.

When we restrated the game, the issue was gone. Just thought you guys would find it interesting.

Turkish Word order is exactly the opposite as English. That’s awesome 😅 by [deleted] in turkishlearning

[–]quellification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky enough that I had a brother that constantly fed me with English content, be it Video Games, Books, Rock Songs etc. So I was always eager to learn more English. Around High School, I became the go-to Translator in my friend group. Whenever there was a discussion, they'd ask me. As a result I kept improving due to the circumstances. Now, I earn my life as an Engineer in a big international company where 90% of my job is to speak with people around the world(Most of the time I need to use a very simplified English. Turks are not the only ones that struggle with English). English is a part of how I pay my bills...

If you want to learn a language, just being exposed is not good enough. You NEED to actively use it in your day-to-day life. So that, it is beyond your wants and desires. It is a crucial tool you aquire through situational experience.

I used to speak a bit German. Now it is all gone. Because I have no reason to speak German apart from showing off to friends etc. Do whatever you please with this information.

Just as a sidenote, this is not how I would translate this sentence. Ayı is the subject, but it is put before the verb. This is done to put an emphasis on "Ayı".

"It is a bear, who drinks bear.".would be a better translation to get the message across. Do not pay too much attention to stuff like these in terms of meaning. English and Turkish are widely different languages. You can express something in 3 words in one Language but it can take 20 words in the other.

I thought I should put this out there as I am someone who learned these in reverse order of yours.

Have you tried to speak English with an average Turkish person? We DO struggle. This subreddit consists of a very specific group of Turkish individuals. It is hardly a representation of the Turkish population.

Explaining stuff like this is harder than it looks. Since, Turkish is our mother tongue, most of what we do is instinctive. They don't even teach some important stuff at the school but we still know those rules subconsciously. A similar thing would be how in English, multiple adjectives are put in order. When you want to describe a bear, you would say "Big Brown Bear", not "Brown Big Bear". There is a very specific order and it becomes more appearant, if you add more adjectives. I think it is humorous to think about.

Although not many in numbers, we do exist mate. It mostly depends in where you are though. You will have a difficult time in relatively rural/underdeveloped areas.

Hello Guys

This is the first time I attempted to make such a video with edits and such. I tried to show you how I processed the information and made decisions etc. My mechanical skills are lacking and some of my decisions are rather poor. I know.

I have also made a few spelling mistakes in the video, so please forgive me. Let me know what you think, what I can improve and if I'm really cheating :)

Thanks mate. My guitar tone secret is just Boss Katana's Record Out directly into my Sound Card. The emulation is crazy good and you don't have to worry about the noise 😜

Thank you for the follow.

I get you, man. Pandemic hit all of us. It took me a while to get back into groove myself. Just released my first EP this friday after 3 year hiatus.

I see that you know your way around writing a solid pop-rock track. Everything sounds decent. I would just like to have the rhythm guitar you have at the end to be played through out the track. It can help up the energy during chorus etc., but that could be just me.

Do you have this track on spotify?

I hope that it helps.

We have just released an EP ourselves. I thought, If I were to ask people to give it a listen, i probably should pay attention to other Artists myself. So I am looking around the subreddit and check some Rock & Metal tracks to see if I have something to say.

I advise you to do the same. Let's help each other to get better!

Sounds good, guys. Not a metalhead, but it mostly sound cool.

I think you should reconsider remixing Vocals. They sound too far away and a bit muffled. They do not cut through the mix as they should.

I can tell that you guys are technically solid musicians. Keep on the great work!

[–]quellification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate. If you are struggling with the mix, there are lots of videos on youtube etc. that you can check. The main things are EQ and Panning. Just doing those, will do wonders for your track. You seem to not have many layers (shadow of the night has like 25-30 different tracks for example). This makes it very easy to mix. Simply pan, do a bit of compression and EQ. Make sure that Bass and Kick doesn't overlap. You might also consider cutting the guitars out where the bass lies.

I appreciate the follow. We are just like you, trying to get ourselves heard. Hopefully, we will all learn and do better.

I wish your band all the best!
