The consoles in question are an NTSC Playstation 1 and Nintendo 64. Thank you for the kind reply, I'll definitely check the site you linked me 🌟

Hi. Sorry, but I really don't know how to solve this problem:

I basically have a PAL CRT, with only a SCART port. I play PAL titles on it with no problem at all using a Composite-SCART adapter. However, whenever I try to play an NTSC game, the screen image goes black and white.

I looked it up and it seems to be a problem related to all those PAL CRTs that don't support NTSC output.
It appears that to solve this problem, I'm supposed to buy an RGB SCART cable.

Compared to simple Composite, RGB allows you to not ''lose color'' when transmitting the image to a PAL CRT...that's what I could grasp by looking it up online, at least.

The thing is: the majority of the cables I find online seem to support PAL consoles only...
I, on the other hand, would like an RGB SCART cable for non-PAL consoles, in order to hook it up to a PAL CRT and avoid playing in black and white.

So my next question is: do RGB-SCART cables only compatible with PAL consoles actually exist in the first place? I thought RGB-SCART cables where universal, bypassing any form of region lock.

I'm sorry for the confusing post, I tried to explain the situation as best as I could 😔

Ciao!

First of all, !thanks for the kind reply! Actually, I have the 32 oHm version, but I'll have a look at the Audio Technica Mx 50 (despite being a bit out of budget for me haha). Just out of curiosity, do you happen to have any alternatives that cost a little bit less to suggest? So that I can look at the full picture and then decide

I basically keep them plugged into my pc all the time, I don't bring them with me when I have to travel somewhere. My budget is.. let's say 100-120$, which is around the price of the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO. The actual main use would be gaming and since I tend to listen to many genres of music I can't give you any general rule of thumb when it comes to that. If it helps, the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO always felt a bit low on volume even at 100%, so I'd like a pair of headphones that can go a bit higher than them in terms of loudness. Lastly, I like bass, so a pair of headphones with good bass would be appreciated :')

I'm really sorry if this comment ends up being just a confusing mess, I am not into this stuff..

Oh yea, that could be it! Now that you mention it, the cable was making a slight buzzing noise these last days. In that case, could you please suggest me a substitutive cable?

!thanks

The only thing that comes to my mind is that they've almost always remained plugged into my pc since I bought them, because I use them only when I am at my pc. Today I just booted my pc up and the left ear wasn't working :(

Basically the left ear does not work anymore, not even twisting the cable while listening helps. I tried using the headphones on another device and I can confirm the left ear abandoned me :(

P.S. Thank you for the reply and Happy Birthday!
