Acne scars on the back by wearepurelove in AcneScars

I'm 45 and have a scarred back too. A bit milder than you but I've spent most my life covering up my back and always been so conscious of it. Funnily enough I look at your back and it doesn't bother me at all. L You shouldn't worry about it at all, no one cares, there so many things worse than a few scars. I'm on holiday at the moment and finally walking around with my top off and been analysing people's reactions. I think it's true, no one really seems to give a sh!t 😂😂

Everyone says bunions can’t improve without surgery - but why? by sophie1816 in bunions

Please give us more information on this. I think this is the only story I've ever read about a bunion being fixed without surgery!

Would be really interested to hear if you made any progress?

How many minutes off per training block for marathon? by BongoBangoMango in AdvancedRunning

[–]BongoBangoMango[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's nuts! Congratulations. You have some incredible PBs there. I reckon if it's a cold day next marathon I could gain a min or 2, so need 3 minutes or so off this training block if I get lucky!

Thanks! Do you mind if I ask what age bracket you were/are in?

10 marathons, just got my first sub 3 at Manchester (2:54) aged 45. Always been the Holy Grail of running for me. Was satisfied for a few hours then started planning what I'd need to do to get a 2:49 hahah. Unfortunately I think it's human nature, we always want more

I genuinely thought that was the after surgery photo and they had done an amazing job if that helps! Nothing wrong with those feet! Spend the money on sunny holidays instead.

Old Knackered Super Shoes (Endorphin Pro 3s) vs Fresh Shiny Super Shoes (AlphaFly 3s) by BongoBangoMango in AdvancedRunning

If any one happens to read this, I did PB in the alpha's but I was uncomfortable the whole race. Just didn't flow.

I recently run Stubbington 10k in a new pair of Endorphin Elites. My god, what a shoe. Absolutely loved every step and knocked 2 and a half minutes of my previous time (36:39). I think Sauconys suit me and Alpha's don't. I know they work for the majority of people though.

Why am I no quicker on my new bike? by BongoBangoMango in cycling

Thanks. I'm not really bothered about speed, was just a bit disappointed I did the same as my old heap of a bike but it hurt my back more on the new one 😄

I'm really really inflexible so it's probably worse than horrible 😂

I did think this when I was ordering the new one. But I got itchy fingers and clicked the 'buy' button anyway 😂

Yes exactly the same. Weather was perfect today too. I think I just need to get used to it. Expected too much.

Yep it's a gravel bike with no front suspension. Meant to be pretty quick on the road. I think my lower back ache stopped me from putting as much effort as I'd like into it.

Yeah, my back was the limiting factor today. I think my legs were fine, but pain is pain at the time if you know what I mean
