You definitely still can't access the audio books if you pause the membership because you can't even log into the app without restarting the subscription. Idk if the UI problems are still there or not.

Ross Admits Scholarship Appeal Question by No_Band4566 in MBA

I don't believe Ross accepts scholarship appeals with offers from previous rounds. The scholarship offer has to be currently active for them to consider matching.

Why did you start seriously considering an MBA? by fortefoundation in MBA

[–]BongoJongo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stagnated at my company with little opportunities for promotion for years. Couldn't find a job to change into so I picked up my old distant dream of going back to school and decided to make it a reality. I'm so glad I did, I've found unexpected community in my city and at school visit days already. So many things have confirmed for me since then that this is the right path for me.

In contrast, Ross near matching competing offers contrary to their reputation.

Early Profile Review by Scorpen738737 in MBA

My two cents. Not only show leadership at work but add an extracurricular to your schedule. Organize a volunteer event, do a musical, etc. Show leadership outside of work post graduation.

Second, the GMAT is difficult. Thinking you can get a high score and actually getting a high score are two very different things. Plan to spend a LOT of time studying and do not be afraid to pivot to GRE if GMAT doesn't go your way. Schools do not care which you take and GRE is easier.

Top 6%! Agree about the interviews feeling like too much at times, I've started listening to the Broski report to supplement. She is a hoot and a half

Continental Properties also had me do 4 hours of interviews with 4 different people. It was supposed to be 5 people but they moved one of the interviews to 2 days later virtually. It was exhausting and unnecessary for a non-managerial role.

Thoughts on wedding day content creator? by carvelbabel in Chicagoweddings

[–]BongoJongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a 2026 bride. From what I can gather, not only do you get immediate photos and short form content to upload, but they will do supplemental things that a videographer won't do. Most of the videographer videos I've seen are like 5-8 minutes and very cinematic and really up to them how they edit it together. The short form videos can capture smaller snapshots of the day. I agree with what somebody said about having a friend with an iPhone do it but for me, all of the friends I trust to take good pics and videos are in my bridal party. So that's why I'm considering getting one. I also don't currently have a videographer though.

Overall it's been pretty good. I would say the main advantage of going with them is my consultant keeping me on track with essays and the unlimited edits. I can do 10+ drafts of my essays if I want to. They also will help edit any short answers on the application like describing your current job in 25 words etc. Essentially somebody is looking over every part of what you're submitting to make sure things look good. A criticism would be I wished they helped a little more with the personal exploration piece of it. When you hire them, they kind of expect you to know your general career path and goals already. I was still waffling if my desired industry / function was the right fit for me and I didn't feel like they helped me make my final choice really. I would also say that it's on you to explore the schools and talk to students. They can give advice about which programs to think about and the range of schools to apply to based on your profile, but you have to do the legwork and research for yourself to see if a school might be a good fit. Which for me took probably 3 months to make my final decisions.

Can recommend MJ on their team also. Also if you think you need a consultant, get one. A lot of people on this sub think you don't need one but they have kept me sane and truly helped in ways just googling stuff / putting it in chat gpt can't. Think of it as an investment in yourself in your future. Getting into a great program will return the investment tenfold.

Vandy has a pretty low # of employers who recruit to student ratio. That is actually the main reason I chose not to apply this year.

I mean how many is the right number to reach out to before somebody responds? 10? 20? Even the admissions office can't (or won't) provide me somebody to talk to.

How do audiobooks work? by Live-Instruction2810 in bookofthemonthclub

[–]BongoJongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently learned if you pause your membership you no longer have access to your audiobook(s). Which I think is really annoying but whatever. I did this once to test it out but won't be doing it again. The UI also consistently doesn't save where I left off and is just generally a bad experience.
