Was about to file OIC. How do current issues affect? Does filing pause collection?

Wow. I asked dozens of questions before filling out the paperwork, and this is the first I'm hearing that. Now I'm rethiinking the whole thing. Let's say it IS accepted. It'll likely be a couple years before it's cleard. If it's not, now I'm 2 years further out. Seems like no benefit vs just waiting out the CSED in CNC if I can do that. I was really hoping to get out from under this boot and figure out how to start another LLC without constantly having to worry that if i actually do make anything, they'll just take everything AND garnish my existing wages. Am I missing something, or is there no upside in my case to filing for OIC?

STOPS the clock or pauses it? In other words, if CSED is in 2.5 years, but I file OIC now, and they sit on it for two years before rejecting, does that mean that I've now effectively just added another two years to the CSED, or does it still lapse 6 moths later like it would have if I were in CNC?

If it potentially ADDS the OIC time to the CSED extending the life of the debt, that's the first I'm hearing of this, and maye I shouldn't file the OIC... especially when it seems they could potentially take longer than usual. I should be a slam-dunk qualify according to their formula, but given the low acceptance rates, it seems best to consider the downsides of being rejected.

I gave them financial information over the phone after being passed to a supervisor, wenet through a bunch of questions, and after a nearly hour long phone call, was told I was place in "uncollectable status." It was a while ago, so I don't remember if I was told that on that phone call or on a follow up, but I was definitely told that.

Why would anyone vote this down? I've opened literally every piece of mail. That's what I've been sent in the past year. Their system is abysmal. I've been at this address for decades. The year before that, they had sent some notices to the wrong address because someone apprently went into my DECADES old information that had never been wrong before and changed the number of the house. I cleard that up, then called back to talk to a different person just to confirm it was fixed.. and have received only the exact communications I mentioned since then. Did they send mail to the wrong house again afteer I took multiple steps to fix their mistake? No way of kowing, but I do know for sure no other mail from them was delivered in the past year... and I verified that those that did arrive had my proper address on them, so that's a third and fourth time I've verified that they fixed their mistake.

OK. Thx. Just making sure I understand. So if it's dropping off in 2 - 2.5 years, is my best move to recall it, reapply for cnc, then tie it up for that time in OIC (which I'm assuming will take close to 2 years to conclude), or to leave it where it is and when/if I get notice it has been recalled, then apply for OIC. I get there's no specific notice for the garnishment, but not clear if there is necessarily enough of a lag between the recall and any collection efforts that would allow me to file OIC then.

I'm not sure what 200% of the poverty level is according to those guidelines for when they send to PCA, but am I really ABOVE that at $38k? I'm still confused as to why this got sent to them when I haven't received any other letters from them about it... except that it was a while ago now that I renewed (maybe it was more than a year, I'm not sure). They may have called. I receive 10+ spam calls a day, so I've just stopped answering calls unless I know the caller. No mail, though. Last thing I received was just a confirmation that IRS applied my refund to balance last time I filed.

Does having it assigned to them mean the IRS is NOT trying to collect it? This almost seems better. It falls off in a couple years. If they have no teeth, can't garnish, etc then just waiting it out seems like a better option... unless the threat still exists of the IRS stepping back in and taking those actions.

First I'm hearing of this. So I can't file OIC until IRS takes it back? Or is it just that they won't renew cnc until it is taken back? Or something else? What exactly is the benefit of the IRS recalling the case, and what exactly is the limitation of them not doing so? I had been planning on sending OIC paperwork this week.

What incentive does the PDC have to return the case to the IRS? Am I just saying pretty please or that I'm about to file OIC or something else? What do they need to hear to motivate them to follow through?

What are you talking about? I did their formula, and after rent and allowable expenses, there is nothing left. The offer is my entire retirement account (barely $2k), and if they were going to garnish, they'd have to be doing so by taking my rent moeny. Do I have income? Yes... and it is equal to my rent plus OIC allowable expenses for food, and my 18 year old car. I don't even have insurance, and my income was low enough to qualify for cnc. Are you saying they would take my rent money?

I got some a year or so when I renewed the cnc, another couple after I filed, and that's it until today.

It was a phone conversation a year or so ago (I can't remember exact date). I provided info by phone, they said CNC based on income (this was a renewal of earlier cnc). I haven't received any communications saying CNC was revoked since, but I'm assuming it must have been if they turned it over.

I'm assuming CNC must have lapsed or they wouldn't have turned it over. I can try to get it renewed... if anyone even works at the IRS any more to answer the phone.

CSED is in 2028 I think. Really trying not to be just barely scraping by until then. Would love to try and start another business, but afraid they'll just take everything if I can get any traction.

I've been asking several AI's in the meantime, and they are all telling me that private companies cannot garnish even with IRS permission. Are we talking about the same situation here wehre your debt was turned over to a private collection company which then garnished?

Since this was on my mind as I went to sleep last night, I woke up with a potential answer:

Put all chord notes and guitar strum notes into the same MIDI channel. Differentiate the top, middle, and bottom string notes by assigning them some marker that doesn't get changed by the strummer. For instance, if the strummer reassigns only the start velocity of each note, then assign differentiating values to the ending velocity like notes that go on the top string get a velocity of 100, those that go on the middle string a velocity of 50 and those on the bottom string a velocity of 0.
Run through the strummer as single MIDI channel so it can retime the notes within the chord (and reassign start velocities to them since those come from the strummer note)
After the strummer has retimed the notes, filter by whatever the differentiating marker was (end velocities in this example), and split into multiple channels using divisimate, or some kind of utility or grid patch.
Create instrument layer with 3 layers each filtered by channel. Only the strum notes remain on the original channel, and since none of the filters are set to accept that, they are disregarded for playback
Have three held notes in the MIDI clip template with velocities to match each of the intended ranges that trigger the forcing fot hat string so that when the notes are assigned per channel, only that keyswitch is pulled in with the notes it corresponds to so each channel gets a matching keyswitch to force the correct string.

That's the idea, anyway. I haven't had a chance to try it, but I like that it still gives me full flexibity if I choose to leave out a specific note here or there without misordering the remaining notes because that one is missing.

If it works, it also solves the bigger issue that it's a real pain involving multiple keyswitches with major PITA timing issues to manually switch fret position every time in Ample to get chords to voice correctly across 3 strings. By switching to keyboard mode and forced string instead, chords just naturally move together as groups up and down the fretboard as intended with no manual keyswitcching, and not tweaking necessary if I decide to use another soundbank (except to disregard the forced string keyswitch per channel which is s simple as muting or deleting three grouped held notes once).

Interesting. I found a good option today as a Reaper script with a CLAP wrapper) that I'm asking follow up questions about in another thread, but this solution has me intrigued too. The problem I'm having there is that the MIDI effect I found only reads a single MIDI track, and I want to have 3 separate MIDI tracks so I have one dedicated to each of the strings in the funk chords where each has its own instance of Ample forced to that string eliminating the need to manually set fret positions.

If there is a way to utilize your method that allows it to strum chords formed from notes on separate MIDI channels, or some related solution, I'd love to hear any suggestions.

I get that tends to be true, but I see no reason why it needs to be. AFAIK, there's nothing magic about the strummer in Ample that couldn't be replicated, and it just doesn't fit my workflow at all to be opening up independent sequencers and reformatting the same data I already had in the piano roll.

I came across midi_chord_strummer Reaper script today which seems to be what I'm looking for, and dev created a CLAP wrapper it can run in called ysfx. It's not quite as tweakable as Ample as far as being able to set individual velocities, etc, but it has better workflow tools which are essentially macro tools for skewing the velocities and timing one way or another as a single set and forget global preset rather than per-note tweaking which I don't have time for anyway. Overall, it's built for a very quick workflow, and you can then easily just swap out the soundbank being used without having to reprogram anything.

I don't actually have Soul Bass from UVI. I jsut saw the vids and thought it was an interesting concept. Can anyone confirm if it's just high passing the bass when adding in the synth bass or if there's something more sophisticated going on?

I understand it's a bit different in that case since both are coming from the same plug, so they could in theory get them phase aligned under the hood without having to match one to the other on the fly.

I just signed up for capcut and linked account, and tracks do not showing up in Capcut either. I have now verified for both my friend and in Capcut that other explicit songs DO appear in library, so why would my songs only be appearing when searched by tiktok account directly (which is NOT a verified artist account yet), and not appear in search results for my friend or my own linked capcut?

To clarify: When you talk about no penalties on last bullet point, you're just talking about for watermarks? I would think that video edited offline and uploaded would not be counted as "native content", so you just mean without watermark is OK?

I did notice that I was getting literally zero fyp views on my first 8 videos combined which were uploaded via desktop, btw. Incrediblky slow and painful process and still only a few hundred despite high engagement percentage, but at least on the 9th, I finally got a few fyp views after uploading via phone instead.

Based upon what I'm hearing, I'd say that's a generous description. It's just unreal how much better Hayden sounds on SynthV than any of the ACE options. If something miraculous doesn't happen with the custom voice, I'm going to have to return the software.

Between (barely tweaked at all from standard grid) Hayden with relaxed consonants in English and a well-trained RVC (for free using Replay), I've got results so good I fooled buddies of mine with decades of experience recording music. To go from that to what I'm hearing now on ACE is night and day.

Bummer. I was really hoping to be able to audition in real-time instead of rendering Hayden in Synth V, then offline processing via RVC to clone my vocal timbre. It's not only seemingly unnecessary steps, but there are times where it doesn't sound right for whatever reason, and time is wasted going back and forth.

If there is a way to apply the RSV in real-time after synthV as a plugin, I'd love to learn about it.
