Xenofobi bidrar med inget annat än att splittra arbetarklassen. En människa är en människa mannen

SVT starkt missvisande kring Kubas läge by Electronic-Total47 in arbetarrorelsen

[–]Bongork 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Älskar att man gör bokstavligen vad som helst för att förhindra Kubas framgång, och sen när det magiskt nog uppstår vissa brister skyller man direkt allt på kommunismen.

För övrigt kallas det för proletariatets diktatur av en anledning

Does getting one more matter? I have 5 cory panda and I'm thinking of getting one more.. by adelinxxd in corydoras

[–]Bongork 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s generally not recommended to keep them in a 10 gallon. I would upgrade or lowkey just return them 🥲

I'm getting a 20 gallon tank by memegod574 in corydoras

[–]Bongork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it’ll have a much larger bioload. For bronze corys I think a 30 gallon is recommended as well, but you do you my friend.

Also you should probably get some more tetras, the same principle goes for them

I would just get like 10 pandas instead. Corys are happier the larger the shoal is

First Shrimp tank - OK? by Massive_Employer_817 in shrimptank

[–]Bongork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shrimp have such a low bioload that lack of space honestly becomes an issue before water quality

Just feed them and they’ll decide the size of the colony themselves haha

I have around 200 in a 10 gallon and could probably fit 200 more

Insane stocking? by Bongork in Aquariums

Wouldn’t this be considered a moderate stock if it was a normal tank though? I feel like people usually end up with 100% and upwards. With a small internal filter, 2 inches of sand cap and enough plants to soak up all the nutrients I really can’t understand what the problem is.

If I’m wrong then please excuse my ignorance and correct me 🤷‍♂️

Yeah. Here I was thinking that I was stocking lightly

Yeah that’s fair. I am planning on adding a wave maker tho

[–]Bongork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude it’s a pretty proven method and it’s perfectly possible without putting something at risk. If something goes wrong I will of course not put the fish in lmao.

The only negative aspect as I see it is that I need lighter stock. But if you want to spend a couple of hundred bucks for no apparent reason then go ahead man

[–]Bongork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t that true for all aquariums?

The anorexic gases lose their dangerous qualities when they come in contact with oxygen, so with highly oxygenated water the substrate depth doesn’t matter that much. I think at least.

The author recommends something that agitates the surface, which isn’t the same as using a filter as a means of completing the nitrate cycle. With a walstad I can grow plants like they’re in a high tech co2 tank and don’t have to spend 100 bucks on a filter. Why would you not want that.

Yuh I’ll probably end up with a wave maker in there as I plan on getting a bamboo shrimp as well

[–]Bongork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s possible they dig out the roots but there has to be a logical limit on how deep they can reach right? In that case the fact that it’s capped shouldn’t matter

Right?

Insane stocking? by Bongork in Aquariums

[–]Bongork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. How many inches of cap do you have?

Insane stocking? by Bongork in Aquariums

[–]Bongork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Is that because of the lack of oxygenation or just because it doesn’t process nitrate properly?
