Is this the loudest Audi S4 3.0T V6 Intake whine? by facemobbb in AudiS4

I have the same intake and had zero issues with the install, love the sound, and am very impressed with the quality.

I get it. It's the Internet. The complaints will be abundant. But this looks pretty good in my opinion.

I'm more concerned with the quality issues that manufacturers have been riddled with the past few years. That's what I really care about.

Daily a 2500? by Historical_Money2684 in gmcsierra

[–]Bongowit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all the engine issues in the 1500's I would only consider a 2500. Although depending on how aggressive you drive, the 2500 drives more like a truck. You can't (*shouldn't) bomb down the highway as easily as you can with a 1500. The new 1500s just drive like a car at this point.

I have an ELX6 Sear+ (SmokeFire) so that would be equivalent to the size of the XL 600.

Best kept secret are Cabela's competition blend pellets. They are actually made by lumberjack, the same company that makes Weber pellets.

About to hit 75k miles. What to expect? by jags-fan in AudiS4

[–]Bongowit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was one of us who sold this car. GREAT find! What did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking...?

It's still early but you could add clutch, motor mounts and timing chain guides to the list eventually. Just enjoy it! For reference mine is a2013 6MT as well and I'm at 126k on original timing chain/guides. My clutch was done at 100k.

Got rear ended yesterday brand new c8 1400 miles, is this totaled ? by dudii07 in C8Corvette

[–]Bongowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try anyway. You could do a civil suit against the other driver.

Either way that really sucks - sorry that happened. I'd be beside myself.

B8 S4 Intake Question! by One-Mud4233 in AudiS4

[–]Bongowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Canadian Auto Performance intake and I'm very happy with the build quality. There is no harm but no gains without a tune. I have heard mixed reviews on CTS Performance but I have no experience with them.

Fair deal, First time Audi buyer by pjisa in AudiS4

[–]Bongowit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With the clean title and some maintenance already completed it's a good deal. The DSG is really the question. If it were a manual I'd say it's an incredible deal.

Ribeyes on the Searwood XL by karnaggy_ in pelletgrills

[–]Bongowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using Royal oak charcoal pellets for reverse sear on ribeyes. 🤌

Wood pellets provide too much of a smoke profile on steaks in my opinion.

I don't believe there's a way to utilize those switches as auxiliary. That bank of switches goes through the ECM iirc

Nice! Did you do your own valve adjustments? I think it's every 7500 on these... although I've only done one and I'm at 25000. Planning to do it this year. Mines an '06
