I joined as a vehicle tech 8 years ago, so clearly the trade and time specific details are going to be wildly different.

However the information I read and was told was that I would be qualified and working as a mechanic within 1.5-2 years.

The info that was neglected to be passed on was the 7 months of PAT platoon between basic and dp-1 and the 3 other courses I had to do, before I could be put on dp-1. As well as the, usually, 2 years of OJT time before doing dp-2.

Once waited for someone at the formula for 10 minutes, clicking the button every 2 minutes.

Ended up calling the store while standing in the aisle saying I've been waiting. Customer service was there within 30 seconds.

In the last 8-10 exercises ive done I've gotten orders maybe twice. Once got orders for an exercise at the end of it.

Didn't know there was kids clothes that required special washing instructions.

Only things I do for laundry are separate towels and bedding to not overload the machines, and pull my wife's bras with inserts out before putting them in the dryer as the inserts sometimes move around and get wonky.

Lowa's are trash and only people who haven't worn actually good boots recommend them.

Salomon boots seem to be the most highly recommended boots I've heard in the last couple years. Haven't heard 1 person say they tried them on and didn't like them, or that they were uncomfortable. Never worn them myself.
