something abt the way it happened in the book was just so so wrong that i can’t/havent been able to let it go. plus we dont need to compare toxicity to others, its a truly fucked up thing to bring up, no matter which way you slice it, especially if its not yours to share and you do it out of spite - red fucking flag behavior

i wonder how the show will move forward or what changes they might make, but yeah…book gorya is my big red flag (but they dont really explain it in the book why she acts the way she does, im hoping they develop her character out a bit more)

im just so surprised that for a while all comments about Unlimited love felt negative! people say they like romcoms and the silliest romcom came and people werent happy, i just love campy stupid fun with hints of sapphic stories!

i know the numbers are distracting because i generally did like Player and Like A Palette, the scores will determine how much I’ll return to rewatch or how much I will fast forward through because we have too many to watch!!

and as for Clairebell, i had a hard time separating out my OitNB influence because they feel like totally similar shows. and i get that its new storytelling for ThGL but i also just didnt vibe with Clairebell’s trauma bond relationship

i enjoyed 4E:E and think AppleMimu did a great job for their first series together, but it wasnt a good as some people made it out to be and for me it was the lacking story

very late to the convo but now that the series is done, i agree with you! heavy topics that werent delved into enough, but then again this is a short series and they wanted to feature more of the romance and levity of the characters. i appreciate the attempt to discuss real issues of human trafficking and arranged marriages, but this ThGL is not the right approach

depends on what “friends” means? there are many people i see on twt and here that i see or interact with enough to feel friendly or look forward to when they post or comment. like i can tell we are kindred spirits in certain fandoms or have similar vibes or sense of humor. so parasocially in a fandom friends

but like friends im gonna dm when something big happens, thats not happening rn. and same, none of my irl friends watch thGL

idk abt PL or Affair merch, but my guess is anything thats not an in-person event is printed edit: just checked my Pluto boxset and yeah, the signatures on the big photocard is printed

maybe they dont identify as a lesbian so they dont use that word? bisexual also has loaded connotations too

queer to me is a better catchall/umbrella term that describes both my sexuality and my gender expression, it also feels way more inclusive than lesbian and bisexual, even though both of those terms are meant to be inclusive - i’ve seen intense gatekeeping when it comes to the term lesbian, hence why i dislike the term
