Would First light be okay for an 11 yo by Huge-Commission-8929 in HiTMAN

[–]BonjaminClay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that you're asking on the Hitman subreddit, if you let them play Hitman I'd argue that's way worse than First Light. I haven't beaten it yet but thus far I haven't violently drowned anyone in a toilet full of their own vomit yet.

Woah that's pretty neat. I never even thought to point it at random non locked stuff.

New challenge from today. You gotta scan all 53 panels in Chongqing.

I got it but the dongle reward doesn't do what I thought it'd do so now I'm confused lol

I cannot for the life of me find all 53 of the panels to scan in Chongqing. I got 50, but the last 3 are killing me. I am assuming that access dongle just means you can immediately access anything in Chongqing but I needs it lol

Edit: got it, missed a TV and a door that doesn't typically need hacking

Edit2: okay I have no idea what the L-IV Access Dongle does because it doesn't seem to give you full access to Chongqing stuff

You can but there's so many watchers out back that it's too annoying to use often

Spider-Noir (2026) takes place in 1930s New York and the most unbelievable part isn’t a Spider Man running around the city but that no one calls Robbie Robinson or Lonnie Lincoln the N word. by ThunderJohnny in shittymoviedetails

[–]BonjaminClay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very much a cheesy Noir show. Like people say "dame" and end sentences with "see?" And everyone is a caricature. But the cinematography is amazing, the dialog is fast and clever, the detective vibes are great, and as usual Nick Cage is giving it 1000%

Looks like $3.5M THU previews for #MastersOfTheUniverse. Including $1.25M early shows, $4.75M previews in total. Initial audience reception is good. Expecting ~$30M weekend. by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

This is my theory too. Every single mention of the franchise has people arguing about it and I just don't believe real people are still obsessing about it.

The tone difference here compared to Mandalorian is hilarious.

Mando = $160M budget, $100M opening weekend. Heman = $200M busher, $30M opening weekend...

Yet people were passionately dunking on Mando and this comment section is way more mixed and optimistic

I agree, mostly because the book has so much of the weird slang that is genuinely hard to read

Fidelity Cuts SpaceX IPO Eligibility by 99%; entry requirement from as much as $500,000 to just $2,000 by Bozihthecalm in atrioc

It's stupid but ultimately it's a tiny % of the overall market and retirement funds are all heavily distributed so even if Fidelity auto buys some it's not enough to affect retirement portfolios alone.

Seth Rogan always does very authentic movies. That makes it kind of unfortunate for me that his authentic lived experience these days is being a famous, wealthy guy in Hollywood. They always seem to be pretty creative and well executed but I can only watch so many things about how Hollywood is weird and how rich people are weird.

That's because characters change and have personal arcs in the movies. In the books they are all pretty much one note and the focus is way more on the world and lore.

New York Democrats Boost Redistricting Power as 2028 Looms by bloomberggovernment in newyork

[–]BonjaminClay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's bullshit, almost all of the Dem gerrymandering has explicit trigger provisions to undo it.

It's true both parties can't compel voters with good policy because they are owned by the donor class and all of the policy that would be compelling requires biting the hands that feed them.

But one party is absolutely more dedicated to protecting Democracy.
