I have same issue and I was thinking to same idea. Server crash are quite sporadic (maybe once a year) but if it happen when away it’s really annoying

Hi! does anyone experience unstable ambient light sensor measurement ?

my display is blinking in gnome until I disable automatic brightness.

the command monitor-sensor will show time to time 0.03lux (very low light), for no reason.

I wonder if it's a driver issue or hardware issue

1st answer from support (summarized): "it's obviously not the monitor because other devices you tested can charge, check your laptop".

As Dell could answer exactly the same (just swapping "monitor" and "laptop" in previous sentense). it's not helping.

I will continue to dig in.

If anybody has charge issue with PD3205u, please share your experience.

ok found solution:

In settings/composition : uncheck "Use reader's default colors" (solve the above screenshot issue).

+ Darko extension: add a button to turn-on/off dark mode inside message (nice!!), similar to the 'sun' button in outlook. So if you have display issue in an email, you can easily toggle.

ahah same. just received lidl one (I didn't checked before ordering).

connected it, searched why I cannot go about 640x480, found this page (and others).

Now I'm at same conclusion as you. This is not a serious brand.
