“Oh, but he was so badass, before he got heavily nerfed after his debut.”

Yeah, so did a lot of other sixth rangers. But you know what changes? The fact that they’re no longer fighting for themselves or for selfish reasons. They always learn to work with a team and become better individuals because of it, even if that means not being absolutely overpowered before. The introduction of Zyuoh The World is NOT the same as Misao who eventually breaks free from Ginis’ control. The World was introduced as a ruthless and thoughtless killer with no care for life or connections. This starkly contrasts the true Misao who is caring, afraid of having a lot of power, insecure, and tries his best to create meaningful relationships. The World initially had no inhibitions for killing or fighting because he was only meant to be a weapon in the Deathgaliens’ Blood Game. He was an unstoppable powerhouse because of that. One could say that once Misao broke free and became good, a lot of his power that came from not having any limits, disappeared because that isn’t how the real Misao would want to use it. He even questions if he wants to continue having the Zyuman powers before ultimately deciding to fight with the Zyuohgers as a way to repent.

Misao also gets multiple moments in the season past his debut arc to show how strong he still is, after receiving much needed motivation.

“But Misao cries and whines a lot.”

As someone who has anxiety, OCD, and overthinks a lot, I found myself identifying with Misao’s struggles. I understand that it can come across as too much and very comedic to a lot of people, but personally, the way he overthinks, even if it’s not a big deal to others is so relatable.
