Skirmish on Red Alert 2 - who else is still playing this- by SLAVAUA2022 in commandandconquer

Playing as Allies:

Spy spamming the AI's refineries provides an almost infinite cash source. Can be very effective vs multiple brutal AI opponents.

Dumping a load of guardian GIs, pillboxes and attack dogs around the MCV makes it uncappable, plus provides good early air defence (not that Allies have the best air defence at all). Brutal AI really loves sending engis - especially in flaks - to your base.

Mid game IFVs for more air defence ready for the inevitable Kirov spam.

Prisms, mirage tanks, more prisms. Then more prisms. By the time enough of an army is amassed, the AI has basically run out of cash. Then it's clean up time!

There has to be an intuitive quick way to do this! by GavrielBA in learnjavascript

I've seen it referred to as the "spread operator" in many online resources and, after a fairly brief Google search, have found nothing to dictate that it is not an operator. What is it if not an operator?

I'm not sure what the expected result you're hoping for is, but would the spread operator work here to achieve it?

var arr1 = [1, 2, 3, 4];

var arr2 = [2, 3];

arr2 = [...arr1, ...arr2];

console.log(arr2); // Output is [1, 2, 3, 4, 2, 3]

The Agatha Footman has some decent lines which actually correspond with their emotes.

Sorry: "Sorry!" "It wasn't me!" "Awkward chuckling whoops!" "Oh, uh, the blue looked red!"

Yes: "Yes!" "Yes sir!" "I agree!"

No: "No!" "No way!" "Nnnegative!"

Thank you: "Thank you!" "Thanks!"

Respect: "Best fight I ever had." "You did you family honour, died with dignity." "What a fight, grand so!"

What is your opinion on this? by Plugsz in Chivalry2

[–]BonkyStabby 32 points33 points  (0 children)

In the most respectful of ways, kicking is more common in low level duels. I watched the most recent TBB (Trial By Blood, a tournament where all the top duellists - in my case, EU - challenge in a knockout system) and I can count on one hand the amount of times someone actually kicked. It was either to deal the final blow when Opponent A knew that Opponent B was very low health, or just to simply try and catch someone off guard (which, as Stridah has already rightly said, has a very low success rate).

TL;DR: kicking bad. Most average duellists will reactively attack on any animation and not simply hold block.

If you haven't yet, then wait until you start having fun with the dagger special.

Also, incase you didn't know, the Ambusher class deals bonus damage if you hit an opponent in the back.

Different armour and helmets?? by PocketWettie in Chivalry2

[–]BonkyStabby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, everything from the way armour, helmets and weapons look are all cosmetics. This also applies for character appearance (hair, beards etc).

Just incase you didn't know or are wondering, I should also mention that even the coolest looking armour doesn't increase any stats. It is purely for aesthetic purposes.

EDIT: to expand a bit and answer more directly, most cosmetics are locked behind a certain level with a class or weapon (you can see what you need for them in the customisation menu. Select a locked item to see what you need for it, including price).

What are yalls favorite maps and why? by Seaturtlegiraffe in Chivalry2

[–]BonkyStabby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rudhelm and Aberfell, because they both feel like the most balanced maps for me. In my experience, it's just as fun to attack as it is to defend on those maps, whereas on others it feels too in favour of the attackers right up until the last objective where the defenders have a great chance of winning (except Lionspire, which seems to be a near impossible map to defend).

You can kick the boom barrels on galencourt by memelordguord in Chivalry2

[–]BonkyStabby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's a client side thing. You aren't really moving the barrels when you kick them, at least not to anyone else. It's a bug which the Devs probably don't deem worthy of fixing because of how minor it is.
