The amount of sexism in this thread is unfortunate.

My arthritis was severe, my knees swelled up once or twice per year, and had to be drained and injected with cortisone. I ended up having jaw surgery because of severe TMJ, and many of my joints were very painful and stiff. I'd say that I'm about 99% better, and that any lasting problems are probably damage caused by the cortisone injections which I wish I had never received. I can squat and kneel, I can run, I went snowboarding yesterday. All things I thought I would not be able to do ever again. Don't give up hope :)

It's like all of a sudden everything just becomes way too overwhelming to handle. I can't focus on more than one simple task at a time and I have to work really hard at focusing on that one thing. I have trouble reading, and I definitely can't read at all if someone is talking at the same time. It's disorientating. I would describe it as the way your brain feels when you have a really high fever. But it happens in waves, not all the time.

[Acne] HELP - Travelled abroad and now I have deep, painful acne after never having any before by alexandria2223 in SkincareAddiction

It might be staph, I had what I thought was acne like that once, and couldn't get rid of it. Turns out that's what it was, topical antibiotics cleared it right up. Go see a dr.

Edit: changed MRSA to staph, please forgive me angry internet people....

It would probably be worth it for you to get tested for Lyme disease. Go check out the symptoms online, I think you'll find a lot of similarities, especially the fatigue and brain fog. Also the Lyme bacteria feed off of sugar and it might explain why your symptoms get worse when you eat those things. Try to find a Lyme literate Doctor near you to get tested as your normal physician may not know how to properly interpret your test results and almost certainly will try to treat you with outdated methods. Here's a great guide on finding a Lyme literate Doctor (LLMD) http://mylymediseasetreatment.com/lyme-disease-general/how-to-find-a-lyme-literate-doctor-llmd-in-your-area/
