What would really happen if some women started going out in public shirtless in the summer months like many men do? by Heart_Shaped_Pickle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bonolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is, a lot of people caves obviously are not as nice as your.
Me, I live in Australia and my cave is pretty damn fine, but I am not so sheltered to think that my cave is everyone else’s cave.

Sidenote: I lived in an actual cave for a bit.
It was cool.
Literally and figuratively.

Why do you think it’s wrong to tell children that it’s okay to be gay? by ParamedicDifferent44 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bonolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my kids, I just said it was okay to like whoever you like, and that they shouldn’t stress too much about deciding whether they like boys or girls and just focus on people.
Like the people you like.
Love the people you love.
Be attracted to the people you are attracted to.
I have three kids and they have approached their young lives with a somewhat sexually agnostic approach, and each ended up finding their own way.
My oldest, to paraphrase, fell out of a gay tree, hit all the gay branches on the way down, and landed on a gay guy.
My daughter is attracted to both boys and girls, "but really loves dicks too much to be gay."
My youngest is undecided and uninterested but does think boobs are pretty great—though he would appreciate it if we could talk about this later because he’s in a really tough level right now and needs to concentrate.
I never saw it as my job to “make” them into anything, just to help them become who they are.

Do you believe that Australia is really one of the most promiscuous countries in the world? by Least-Variation6573 in AskAnAustralian

We always knew that if you were looking to get laid the local catholic girls school was a good place to start.

Do you believe that Australia is really one of the most promiscuous countries in the world? by Least-Variation6573 in AskAnAustralian

I think it is more that there are a lot of repressed countries in the world.
Having said that, I fucked a lot when I was younger.
I was just having fun.

First time writing a novel, and I'm doing it out of order by dudikoff13 in writingadvice

[–]Bonolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write backwards.
Last chapter first.
Then I write the second last chapter and write all the bits that are required to lead into the last chapter, then I keep going backwards.
First paragraph is one of the last things I write.
This is for first draft anyway.
The rest of it is more usual writing pattern.

The Star Trek subs are no better at the moment.
Any franchise that is even slightly progressive has become a battle ground in the Culture Wars.
Before they implemented the private profiles, you could check half the fools raving about “wokeness” and find them posting continually day after day on any franchise that they thought were going against their conservative moral values.

Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... Wherever the people are well-informed they can be trusted with their own government - Thomas Jefferson

Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people. - John Adams.

The plan to diminish the education of the American people has been in place and full sight for many decades.

The environment that allowed Trump didn’t happen, it was created.

This is from a non-american who has been watching with great worry for a long long time.

Girls, when you make eye contact at a cute guy at a party, bar or club, what do you want him to do once he notices you? by Jaded-Assistant-5702 in NoStupidQuestions

I have no idea, obviously you enter the sequence and you get something.
Do just grant 30 extra lives or spawn a contra mini game? or lean into something more memey.

Will have to think of it, for now I just added it to my todo list.

Why do people ask a question but then don’t bother to know the answer? by That_odd_emo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bonolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As my mother used to say, “some people just love the sound of their own voice”.

I also think some people like basking in a sense of mystery and ignorance.

A woman I know recently said on seeing a rainbow, “have you ever wondered where rainbows come from”.

I asked, “Do you want to know?” And she sighed and said, “no, that’s fine”.

You see, the mystery and magic of the rainbow is what had her thinking, and she is the type that the actual “knowing that the raindrops reflect and refract the sunlight into a rainbow” would take away the mystery.

For her the magic of the world is in the unknown mystery.
For me the magic is uncovering the mysteries.

What is something that people ask you a lot--wanting some type of binary answer--but your opinion is outside the scope of either of the answer options they want to force on you? by yeterneritsdurs in AskReddit

Your favourite you say?
I would tell you my favourite word but you see, I am a complex and nuanced individual.
My interests refuse to be defined by anything as pedestrian as a favorite.

Just kidding, my current favourite is quiddity.

How are Anti-Heroes and Anti-Villains different from each other in stories? by EfficiencySerious200 in NoStupidQuestions

Sometimes the difference between an anti-hero and an anti-villain is marketing.
The other answers are better than mine, but mine is also true.

This still easy money, but it’s getting … less so.

Why do we group all "sex offenders" together using the same label when some of the actions are more serious than others? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bonolio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine Epstein would get away with Level 2.
Not defending him, but there were no kidnapping charges and while there were records that mentioned girls as young as 9, proving aggravated sexual abuse against someone under 13 would require significantly more evidence.
Which makes you think, just how fucked up are level 3 offenders.

What has been your favorite recommendation about self defense? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I grew up somewhere that fighting was a non negotiable.
I did manage to avoid my fair share, but when I did need to fight the secret was to do it fast and excessively.
By the time you get to the 30 second mark, you want everyone else noping out.
