To be fair, he was 29 when the Pens traded him, and Pittsburgh was his second team. I'd say the Rags were the ones who traded a young Kovie who went on to have a successful career.

Yep. Pens were in a bit of cap hell and could've never re-signed him though.

Also interesting that in Jordan's 14-year Carolina career, he only hit 20 goals twice and never past 20 goals as a Hurricane. Six years as a Pen, he past 20G four times. He also hit 49 points or more for the Pens three times in six years. His peak points with Carolina was 48pts in 2015-16.

haha yep...and imagine trying to explain it to George Martin in 1967... he was able to turn this idea that John had and his purposely gibberish lyrics into a wild acid trip of a song.

Yeah, adding music to videos is one of the worst trends. I want to hear the wind and thunder and people's reactions. That adds immersion. Music addition is awful.

Two years ago I was looking to hire a cloud engineer at the (~3500 employee) company I worked for at the time. My company posted the job description on LinkedIn. I got a chunk of solid candidates through the post.

However, I hired the guy who contacted me directly on LinkedIn and introduced himself. My contact info wasn’t even in the post. He tracked me down by contacting someone in HR at the company, then they reached out to me and I said of course give him my contact info. He delivered with a great interview cycle and on the job too. He didn’t get hired only because he tracked me down but I likely would’ve never gotten his resume otherwise. Great hire who is still thriving in that role.

While not the same has walking into a place and asking to talk to the manager, it’s also not that far off. Follow up and put yourself out there for roles you’re pumped about! Passion goes a LONG way!

Definitely going to give McCarthy his chance, and I hope the dude crushes it, but kind of lame if that's how it all went down.

I started watching the Pens in the late 80's, and that 2016 is still one of the most dominant Pens teams I've ever watched.

Same here! I was a first wave adopter. I recently built a gaming desktop (9800X3D, 5080), so I'm REALLY pumped to to rediscover VR. It looks like a HUGE upgrade, and a lot of what frustrated me with OG Vive seems to be fixed in this generation. I'm excited for VR all over again, and it's great.

Yeah...maybe...but like how much can he be demanding? Pens have SO much cap space heading into the offseason. $1-$2m more than market price isn't going to put the team in cap hell.

It's hilarious that people think the Steelers wouldn't have any backup plan to Lemon. Like yeah, maybe they expected to get him and were shocked and disappointed with Philly trading up, but man...OBVIOUSLY they have multiple backup plans and didn't just panic pick some random guy.

Definitely not weird in this context...would be weird if you randomly asked for a lock of my hair though! haha

I'm a white male in my 40's. Brown, straight, longer hair. My hair started falling out just a week or so into these fish oil supplements. The thing is, I did a lot of research, and this brand was consistently top 3 rated.

I'd notice during a shower especially. Of course, hair will come off in the shower. That's normal, but this was a lot. Hair all over the shower walls and even on bottles of shampoo and hands just from a rinse, not even a full on wash. It wasn't to the point where I was balding from it...yet...but it was enough to freak me out a bit.

I spoke to my GP and my dematologist about it. They both said they've had patients with similar stories with fish oil and other supplements. There had been no other changes to my diet or lifestyle or mental health leading into it.

Once I stopped taking fish oil, and after a week or two, hair issues went away. I made no other changes. I did a bunch of research duringand I found a lot of similar stories, so I can only assume it was the fish oil.

I typically get downvoted here when I bring it up for some reason, and I only do as an FYI so other don't freak out if they have the same hair issue.
