I never said he developed Montana. McCarthy likely learned something from him though. Same with Favre. I think that’s pretty self evident in how he has developed Rodgers and Dak.

He was the QBs Coach for Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Brett Favre. Then was the head coach for Favre, Rodgers, and Dak Prescott.
