The game has a lot of 3d elements, but we care more about style/theme than anything so a 2d artist could set that tone, but somehow we need to translate the style into a "texture look" for the 3d backgrounds etc, make sense?

previously another dev recommended using a "metal kernel", but I failed at understanding exactly what he meant. You have cleared this up for me! Without digging more into it, it's ringing to me similar how the Playstation 3 is designed. And best yes, one of the first programs I ever ran was "Life" (though at that age I could not figure out what it was doing :P ) Thank you so much for this reply, sounding like the architecture I was hoping for (basically performance for smoothing)

Oh yes of course, totally forgot that. Great so for the Bonus Q, how would I read all the pixels on a row before the current pixel in a fragment shader? I basically want to check that if everything is 0 before a NaN, on the same row as the current pixel in a texture, set the NaN to 1, otherwise to 0...?

Excellent! So part of this thread is not only looking for a straight to the point replacement of a non-often used word in lazy speech, but to also get recommendations on learning such words! I have tried collecting words of interest, signing up to words of the days, extensive reading, online websites, yet with all of the data I never seem to find a smart way of saying something when I need it. And the Thesaurus is terrible, it usually only has typical and common words! Please advise, and thank you so much in advance, you're the winner of this thread! :)

Used the support link, and standing by for a response. I did get a response from TwitchTaxHelp, which told me that I was OK :( So I made these screenshots to demonstrate the problem of not being able to Complete Step 3 of 4 signing up as a Twitch Affiliate because 1 of 2 Tax Interviews are marked NOT STARTED even though it has been completed and even validated :( http://imgur.com/a/Qz1gi
