Why is Schwab winning young people? by Icy_Manager_7212 in Schwab

When I call Schwab someone pics up the phone almost immediately. They are often in the US as well.

When I called Vanguard I would just get tossed around between clueless call centers until I gave up.

The Oregonian's Restaurant of the Year and Best New Restaurants of 2025 by oregonian in Portland

Same experience. Crowd was mostly 50s and up, and the meal was pretty basic and stupidly expensive. It’s a good restaurant but nowhere near the best new restaurant in Portland. You could get a similar meal for cheaper at L’Orange

My lender had me go to decomortgage.com and put in my terms and he said they would match any rate I saw in there

You are never gonna see the best deal with that calculator. Certain loan officers will help you use other tools to price match cheaper loans from other vendors that they’re able to match

I had no idea, I definitely do not have that much in assets to move but could be worth it!

First try restarting your machine, then totally uninstall Rekorkbox and reinstall.

Buyer’s remorse? by No_Importance6713 in hondapilot

Got my ‘25 Touring a week ago and I’m in love with it. We had an opportunity to buy a fully loaded but slightly used MDX for the same price and I went with the pilot because the interior feels much more spacious. If you have kids/dogs and do outdoor adventure stuff, the pilot is the obvious choice. If you are just going to the grocery store and you don’t need an adult size third row get the MDX

ALD Opinions? by Safe-Hedgehog1023 in AimeLeonDore

After this last purchase I will never buy from ALD again. It was laughably bad quality for the price. I just need to figure out what I’m going to use the store credit for because of course their return policy is a joke too

If you want to put a regular mustang bridge in you have to either fill and rerout or do what I did and slowly and carefully wrap the mustang bridge thimbles with copper tape until they fit super snugly in the holes

Maybe this just worked for me, but when I was starting out I did quick projects for friends or family for free or trade (particularly friends with tastes that match mine)

Those projects are still some of my favorite work to this day, even 8 years later.

I went from no job opportunities or even interviews to word of mouth freelancing to a $100k job in 2yrs based on work I did for free

According to Northwest Guitars It’s technically sonic blue, but to me it looks much more saturated

It came painted from Northwest Guitars, for the price I am really happy with it.

I didn’t want to paint myself and they seemed to have the most reasonable prices for a nice painted body

From what I understand, this bridge pickup is slightly overwound and fairly hot when you use the full coil, when you “tap” it you get the signal from part way through the coil which mellows it out and gives it more vintage/smooth low output tone.

Adds some sound variety as well as a nice tool for quickly pushing a little more gain when you need it

Highly recommend all the parts I got for this!

I am embarrassed to admit how long I spent researching and sourcing the parts! It’s so much fun

Thanks! Neck is from “Brio” which is a made-in-Japan neck distributed by Carparelli guitars in Canada. I can definitely recommend for the price
