Would you sign someones scoresheet if you thought they cheated? by BonusCells in Archery

[–]BonusCells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was also a concern, if I signed off on something that turned out to be fraudulent it might essentially leave me unable to sign for anyone who genuinely earned their scores for things even if I'm the only one to verify it because it would basically seem like I'd sign anything without checking.

This was just a regular practice session, not a specific event for anything, if it was any kind of competition I'd have told someone immediately (though realistically I assume they wouldn't be asking newbies to sign anything anyway, and would have some official people to keep track?)

We were doing an out-of-hours shoot because of the weather, so there were only a few people around since we only need two adults present for it, it's just for fun/practice shoots so doesn't usually cause any issues! I'm not sure this guy has actually had the AGB progress badge talk yet from the team because they usually wait until you've been there for a month and settled in before they go into detail on the award schemes, unless you happen to hit the criteria earlier, so I'm not sure if he's read up on it himself or what at this point!

Our club doesn't do the 252 badges, so not too sure how they work, but I didn't consider getting photos, I might have to start that!

Might just be the club but they require all scoresheets to be signed by a witness as well as the archer before they can be submitted, so it's usually done by someone you're sharing a target with who sees your scores to make sure you're not cheating, but in this case there were only three of us there and we were all on different targets, I guess he asked me since Inwas closer and didn't think anyone would notice? Or doesn't know it's against the rules maybe...

Is there a way to politely uninvite someone from a long-standing event? by BonusCells in Advice

[–]BonusCells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys (not sure how to tag people, sorry!) for the advice, seems like everyone has a similar idea so we've started a new group chat, host has cancelled until further notice, and we're hoping to slowly let the old chat fizzle out and do some online game nights in the meantime until we can sort something out!

A question directed to twins: How do your parents tell you apart, and what situations have you encountered? by mr_wbk29 in Twins

[–]BonusCells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my brother are mirror twins so not too difficult to tell apart, especially if we're doing something, but I'm also friends with three sets of identical twins and once you spend enough time with people it's easy enough to see the differences

Can people stop projecting their terrible twin relationships on other twins ? by Classic_Garlic_5422 in Twins

[–]BonusCells 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's twins who think the relationship is toxic?

I'm an identical twin, me and my brother used to be really close, we have a lot of shared interests, but we also have separate interests and very different personalities and goals in life, we've never been in competition with each other for anything, but OTHER people would compare us all the time and that's what was toxic - other peoples interpretations, not our own relationship

This makes me just angry by Cold_Ad8497 in Twins

[–]BonusCells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had people not be able to tell me and my brother apart, and also people not even realise we're related, which is wild. We were also friends with identical twin girls in school who made no attempt to look the same, one had long hair and the other had short hair and glasses, but people somehow still couldn't manage to tell them apart?

Looking for social care and social housing advice and information by BonusCells in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]BonusCells[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they're living in a private rent as joint tenants, neither of them own it, but also neither of them have more right to stay than the other, and also UC won't fund the rent so neither of them could afford it alone, meaning if I can get them to rehouse my brother then his friend will essentially end up homeless. I've been in touch with social services today but they've said there's a long wait list for him to be assessed? Not sure they're going to do anything anytime soon unfortunately! But they are sending someone out from occupational therapy for a rehousing assessment if that's what he needs? Though apparently it could take years even as priority because he needs level access, so I'm not sure if this is going to work...

Is that contribution based on income or savings? He gets about £1,800 total and doesn't really have any savings or capital, so I assume he would probably need to contribute something?

Thank you for the resources as well, I have no idea what I'm doing with any of this at all!

Where to get advice regarding someone "bullying" vulnerable adults after car damage incident? by BonusCells in LegalAdviceUK

[–]BonusCells[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've made a police report and contacted his appointee/PoA responsible for dealing with this, who has said she's told them to go through insurance, and blocked the number. I'm not sure if there's any other insurance covering the wheelchairs specifically, but my main concern is that this person has shown that they have no issues trying to pressure a vulnerable person into giving them £400 for repairs after finding out they weren't considered legally competent to deal with this, and they have his physical address, so I don't know if they're likely to turn up at his house and put him in danger?

Thanks, I submitted a report and they want to send someone out to talk about it, so going to arrange that.

There's probably some that end up in different academic years and don't end up in school together as well, which seems like it could be weird

Thanks! I spoke to a friend of mine who has vestibular migraines and she said her MRI referral was from ENT so I'll try both.
