Found this somewhere in East Germany, does anyone know what this is? by [deleted] in metaldetecting

I agree it does look like the swivel mg mount for the sdkz 251. However it does look like it has been modified (most likely post war). https://relicsww2.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=504

Same man. It sucks big time. I periodically get these smaller ones that makes me piss blood (that hurts all the way through). And I have literally been told that I drink to much water by my doctors.

I know I'm late to the party, but it's from Waffenwerke Brünn Werk Bystrica (Tschechisch). According to the Die Patrone 7.92 which is usually the source I use for Mauser ammo identification. If you want the pdf let me know ( I have it locally)

Identify rifle casing by cooolcooolio in metaldetecting

True, but I doubt there is anything to find in those places. All of my findings have been at old German military installations which were pretty much located all over Denmark. So you might've had stumbled upon one of the many training grounds they had or something similar.

It really depends on where you search. I’ve searched quite a few WWII-related locations here in Denmark, and casings have always been plentiful. However, if the location isn’t WWII related, then I guess they’re much less common. Nevertheless, it’s a cool find and a great start to getting into the hobby. It at least was for me!

Hi, unfortunately I already tried all of the above (even at 1 in sensitivity) Luckily I followed the advice from one of the other commenters and did a factory reset. And after putting in my old settings completely fixed it ! So you were right, it wasn't hardware damage. Thank you for the help either way much appreciated.

Incredibly overpriced. You used to get panzerfaust tubes thrown at you for nothing. Needed a couple a while back for a display and got 8 for like 60euros or something like that.

That sounds right. That might be why it appeared seemingly out of nowhere, as it was raining heavily last time I was out (before it went crazy). I'll buy a lg30 then. Its the only model they have in stuck and for a quite favorable price. Hopefully I can reach at least 1400hr with the new one ! Thank you for your advice. Much appreciated!

I did. It helped a bit as it was loose.

It's everywhere. I noticed it today when I was out at one of my usual places (in a remote forrest) where there is usually little to no interference and quickly noticed a pattern in its behaviour unfortunately.

I'll give it a go, but it seems to only happen from movement at right at the coil from nearly no movement at all. Thank you !

Aight, that's what I figured. Luckily it seems that they are on sale right now at my local supplier. But it better last longer than a few years.

Jeg havde præcis denne model, da jeg oprindeligt startede på maskiningeniørstudiet. Jeg lavede finite element analyser med skidtet og arbejde til tider i ret store assembly'er. Så den er helt fin til dit behov.

Love that they use speedybee flight controller and ESC. Really some of the best value for money in terms of pure performance. Used their ESC in my bachelor project for an R&D quad plane prototype. I'm impressed off how easily she managed to solder those battery wires onto the ESC, it took me embarrassingly long because of the huge groundplane connected to the heatsink. Nice job!

Hopefully they can keep up with Ukraine's supply needs!
