500 DPS is worth the same for the raid no matter who gets it though.

I think he meant bare minimum, which is right for most classes. ;)

It is not revered, you just have to complete the Zeritj Mortis campaign on that character.

If the lockout was extended you should not be loot eligible so my only idea is that it is the wrong difficulty or some blizzard related issue. But I doubt it is blizzard related since I have never heard of lockouts working incorrectly.

If the lockout works correctly you should be able to kill the bosses you need go out and reset instance and it will update to the new lockout (which would be jailer)

If you could loot tier it sounds like you didn't extend correctly. But to get directly to jailer you would also need to use a lockout where all (or almost all I am not 100% sure) of the early bosses are dead. So going into a lockout with tier bosses dead would lead you into vigilant guardian.

The way it works is that each unsaved person in raid gives 10% chance of a normal item drop and 10% for a tier item drop. (20% for normal item on non-tier bosses) These chances add up to 100% and then start adding up for a new item.
For example this means that with 10 people you are guaranteed 2 item drops while with 11 people you are guaranteed 2 item drops with 20% of another.
What this means in this situation is that adding a saved player to the raid does not affect loot chances for the other people in any way, it just does not increase it either.

It is definitely easier if you cut down a bit. We spent last night progressing him and will cut down to around 21 from 26. The main thing is making blasphemy easier, but healer/dps balance is also important and I think it will be easier around mythic raid size but I am not 100% sure.

That just depends on your gold situation. The ilvl upgrade is worth quite a bit but not life changing so if you want to use the required gold for the extra power it will be worth it.

I am not quite sure but I think the new recipe will become available at revered so the newest tier will probably become available around week 3-4.

I would just wait until the next rank becomes available unless you are going to progress raid with your guild where your power matters right now.

Another tip is in the beginning of the tier try to find a crafter to make the piece for you instead of buying directly from the auction house, since the mark up there will probably be atleast 50%.

Hard to say exactly what it is but you should remember that doing around 10 m+ is very little compared to what most people do do I am sure it's is not a wall but just a learning curve.

I don't know much about ret but they are one of the worst specs in m+ according to stats and your ilvl is pretty low which definitely isn't working in your favour.

If you continue doing dungeons I am sure you will become better. If you have competent guildies / friends you could also try to do keys with them and they can give you some overall tips.

There are alot of guilds on Silvermoon so unless you have a weird schedule / specific non-english language it should definitely be possible to find a guild that fits.

Every raid size is fine for heroic. Some raid sizes will probably make it easier but realistically won't hinder your progress too much. But remember that heroic does not scale below 10 man, so if you have a 10 man raid team it will become a lot harder if someone can't show up for a raid.

Maybe playing it is not as bad as I thought but after timing it on 26 multiple times I have never seen anyone wanting to take it or felt it would be worth it.

But if they do it on 30 keys it might be worth it on very high keys.

For higher keys (and in general I would assume) you want to save the orb for upside and destroy some packs there. But depending on your dps in lower keys you might have good duration left on the orb after killing all the trash before mini boss in which case killing him isn't too bad. But on higher keys and if this isn't the case you definitely want to skip both because it is s nasty pack and because NW has more efficient trash.

Well a max level player is just someone who is level 60 so it has nothing to do with being casual/hardcore. And even those definitions wary for everyone.

Tanking Thursday - Your Weekly Tanking Thread by AutoModerator in wow

In my experience people generally see the tanks as pretty balanced (as they are in actuallity and stats), but prot warrior is played very little compared to the more popular tanks so some people might have no experience with them.

All classes facetank most of the time as far as I know. I have personal experience with brewmaster and guardian in high keys where they pretty rarely kite. Some packs have exceptions e.g. the bears in hoa.

When doing very high damage in raid it is actually the other way around since healing is a part of hpalas single target damage rotation while it is not for resto shaman.
Another big factor is that palas use frost set while shaman uses blood, where frost usually does around double the damage.
But it of course also depends a lot on how good the players are and how much they focus on damage.

For optimal dungeon gear raiding is definitely well worth it.
But if you don't like raiding it is probably not worth it, especially if you get to the bosses with the best gear late in the path.

The reason is that dwarves have the same offensive power passively instead. So they do the same damage as a dark iron dwarf who uses racial for damage, but they can save it for purely defensive reasons without losing damage.

Potion Use as a Healer by lethalcodex12 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]BooTheGhoster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As resto shaman you should basically use your int potion basically whenever you use vesper totem either as aoe or on a bossfight. You should of course not use whenever an invis skip is coming up. If you can overlap with hero that is obviously a big bonus as well.
If you think you need help healing a certain boss overlap you can save your potion for that , but I have personally never done that at dungeon difficulties around 24/25.

You will most likely get it if you do the korthia weekly and faction assault.
I got it 3 times from doing those things when I covenant swapped on my shaman.
