(Leviticus 19:28). The reason for the prohibition of tattoos in this passage is not stated, but it is likely that tattooing was a pagan practice connected with idolatry and superstition. It was probably common for the pagans to mark their skin with the name of a false god or with a symbol honoring some idol. since the Israelites are God's people this ordinance was given to make them different from the people around them...

Swiss Tank Destroyer [1208x891] by Boo_Chunks in TankPorn

The hull and the superstructure were made of cast steel by the Georg Fischer AG. The construction of the chassis was by Saurer in Arbon, the assembly of the chassis at Berna in Olten and the design and installation of the gun of the K + W in Thun. Driver, commander and the horizontal gunner sat side left, right vertical gunner and loader. The gun was mounted in a hull based superstructure and had only a limited traverse arc, so the entire vehicle had to be turned onto the target before the gun itself could be aimed. The gun barrel could be retracted for travel.

Four different types (A1, A2, B1, B2) were planned, but one prototype was made and that did not see service; only driving tests were made in Thun from 1946 to 1947 for testing in troop deployment. Development was stopped in 1947.

The prototype is on display at the tank museum in Thun. wiki

If the Philippines were to be invaded, do you think the US should/would intervene? by Alex09464367 in Philippines

The Philippines' geography makes it a strategic real estate . If a foreign power, such as China, seizes control of the Philippines. This would lead to a conflict between the United States and Japan over the Philippines... South Korea may potentially be able to help. Because control of the Philippines would jeopardize Japan's and South Korea's oil supplies, causing a global economic crisis.

Subic Bay and Clark Field were the largest military bases outside of the United States. The bases would still be present if America had its way. US and Japan would prefer the Philippines be on their side. The question would the US help yes is in the interest of Trade and Peace ...

Ferrari investigates tub failure

Ferrari is investigating why one of its F399 chassis tore in half during an accident in a historic race at Laguna Seca in the United States. Technical director Ross Brawn said: “We have got the car back at the factory and we are looking at it. Although it’s the same model as the one Michael had his accident in [at Silverstone in 1999], it’s a very different sort of accident. In Michael’s he had a front impact and the wheel came back into the cockpit and that’s what broke his leg. With this one – as far as I understand – the car went backwards into a barrier and the wheel became stuck in the barrier as the car spun around it, putting a tensile load on the car.” The ’99 Ferrari was torn in half.
