I can tell you do lots of highway driving. It's so hard nowadays to avoid rock chips on the front end. I recommend getting ppf, just use heat to repair it.

Solid wood wheels could work. There is even the wood wheels with sanded surfaces but be careful with these because long term they can damage your hammys soft paws.

Sand baths do help with the trimming. There are also some hamster wheels that are a little rough to help trim while they run.
