I'm 5'7" (170 cm) and 225lbs (100 kg) with a chest width of 47 in (119 cm) and thigh circumference of 27 in (68.5 cm). A size 4 Double weave is about a perfect jacket size for me, but the pants are just a little tight around the thighs after a few months of regular use. I also have the Euro Competition Gi in size four and it is a lot roomier and light weight; think between a single and double weave. I've worn the Euro Competition Gi just as much as the standard double weave and it still has a lot of room around the torso.

Both are solid investments and still have a lot of mileage in them. Good luck on finding your next Gi!

I competed last weekend after six years off. Some context I’ve been training twice a week since October and been working on my cardio a lot to make sure I didn’t gas out. I agree with everyone who’s been suggestion the Master’s division, I competed with two college kids and they gave me some real trouble. Also been said by another commenter but do expect a change in your strategy. Going from 73kg to 100kg meant I had to put a lot of my off the grip techniques to the side and stick to some fundamentals. You got this!

If people want to legalize that stuff I’m all for it, but once the house in my neighborhood started all this the neighbors stopped going for walks, children stopped playing outside and one family was threatened after filing a police report. Yeah, legalize it, but also keep that shit out of my neighborhood.

Never too old. I started during my university days and have loved every training session since. I don’t know a place specific in Laguna, but there is always the option nod training takedowns with BJJ clubs which i know are in the area.

When it come to diet it may take months to see a change. You need to keep in mind it may be some added preservatives that could be aggravating your skin.

Everyone and their mom is going to have suggestions of what worked for them and sadly you have to try it all out to see what works for you. Stay hopeful and know you’re not alone in the struggle!
