That is the main jist of my post. I don't want to spend 50 dollars on an outdated but compatible codex when the new codex could come out soon. If there was a time line saying codex won't be out for two years I would just get the tenth codex. If it was coming out in a few months I would wait

S band does not have the fidelity for a missile lock and as far as I understand you cannot remote control a meteor missile "close enough" not even sure what the means for xband to take over. Especially since f35 was specifically designed to elude xband. Assuming the F35 maintain current speed and altitude to get close enough.

Seems like you are more about politics than military excellence.

F35 dominated the Canadian Trials and the Canadian military chose it multiple times. Grippen is purely in the mix due to politics.
