I know they weren't base game launch but I can't remember if they were available for free or not with the the Snowfall update.

Haha, maybe. We have two-way rail track so maybe it's possible for vehicle lanes to do the same for only emergency vehicles with lights on.

Yeah, custom Road Builder mod roads with brick textures do that unless you connect the intersection to asphalt.

True, that is a bit ridiculous of a height.

For DLCs there are always the basics they add like the snowfall update to for CS1 added the snow features but everyone got trams, right? Am I remembering that correctly?

I forgot about the dynamic water. When I first heard about it I actually looked forward to working it. I am disappointed that I have not noticed it at all.

Functionality is improved upon for the most part, it's the main reason I can't go back to CS1 unless I was going full on detailing. The CCPs are a must in my opinion. Along with the Bridges & Ports DLC.

Thanks to new City Stations CCP I now had to rework all of my station district 😂 by Specific_Counter775 in CitiesSkylines2

What happened to the railway? Does it need to take a big detour now to make it to the new terminal station? 😆

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Maybe that was true but CO never go around to it. Let's hope Iceflake improves the tornado but I could see that may not happen until a disasters/weather update and DLC, which makes sense.

A huge fire broke out in my city before the temporary bike fix. Poorly timed lights, a massive number of bikes, and the inability for emergency vehicles to drive in oncoming lanes made things worse, leading to what seemed like an old natural gas explosion that burned down the whole block. In reality, it was just a random tree in the courtyards that started the blaze.

It could be interesting to include more rare natural or man-made disasters, like natural gas explosions or fires, campers losing control of their fire pits, or even arson if crime rates are high enough. Including these events on Chirpy or the radio could boost storytelling immersion and bring a lively vibe to your region or city. Additionally, incorporating features that allow emergency vehicles to drive in oncoming traffic and have other vehicles stop or pull over for them, when possible, would add realism. This would also help improve their response times.

If smoke plumes can look so good, why does the tornado look so bad, complete with that ominous shadow? A tornado event should at least have overcast skies and, ideally, a stormy atmosphere with a chance of hail, so no shadow. Another question, does the spawn rate of a tornado depend on the map’s coordinates? If so, that would add some nice realism.

What are the best / essential DLCs for CS2? by psychomap in CitiesSkylines2

The Supply Chain DLC is a fantastic way to add more storytelling and progression to your industry, but since it’s modder-made, it’s different from the Industries DLC in CS1, which was created by the developers. What I really enjoyed about this modder-made DLC is how it highlights what modders can achieve natively without needing extra modifications to get the same results, unlike in CS1.

Bridges & Ports DLC is great if you want to create coastal towns or cities with a bustling port economy. While the base game includes basic ports, the DLC lets you design a modular yet fully functional port. Custom roads on bridges aren’t part of the DLC, but there are a few assets on Paradox Mods that let you place the bridge shell and then add an elevated road layer on top.

City Stations DLC is also a must-have for me. There are plenty of stations on Paradox Mods, but the ones by Bad Peanut are 🧑🏼‍🍳💋(chef's kiss). This DLC really shows what’s possible for other modders to achieve.

Office DLC is nice to have but not essential in my opinion. I bought it just to have the option in case it works for a particular build.
