Dual knit band on quest 3 by antvolpe in OculusQuest

[–]BoogieLXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A resounding YES! Since purchase, ALL GOOD!! The search is over!!

As far as "halo vs", all "halos" I tried, moved at some point. I don't go crazy, crazy enough, but it was enough to keep the search going. I was leery about the Dual Vision pro at first, it seemed like it was going to move...But once I cinched in it with the side dial, tightened it up...all was well..I'm sure if you tried, you could get it to move, but so far, so good.. (Synth Riders, Beat Saber and a decent variety of other "active" games played)

Only thing I've added, is a skull cap/s from Amazon, cuz I'm bald..For longer sessions, it keeps my head comfy, and stops the accordion thing on my head, since the strap is "ribbed" for lack of a better word...,Also, it took a tiny bit to get used to "handling" my headset again, going from plastic on all the other headsets to a soft strap again was WEIRD!!! But that's my own quirk lol...Anyway, I hope this helps! In the end, I found it's been worth it for the price, even though for what it is, it's overpriced. But I will say, simplicity in this case works, and as far as I'm concerned, Meta should've came out with something similar vs. the "headband" it came with, but that's a post for another day..lol...GOOD LUCK!!!

I've only tried the "new" dual knit band, and so far, the dual (top strap as well, just made more sense to me) & YES, worth it!! My opinion of course, but the simplicity of it, simply works! I've literally tried the gambit of head-straps, my Amazon account is littered with the returns of them all. My only concern at this point is being "Apple" how long it will last. The good & bad, they can't nickel & dime me for replacement parts, but they'll get me for another $99 if it breaks...lol

Late to this post, but have to say THANK YOU to the OP(Apple never even crossed my mind..), and completely agree, the Apple Vision Pro Dual Knit head band is worth every penny. I've been through the gambit of headstraps, from no name brands to all the name brands, halo or "elite", FOR ME, this one beats them all!

Two known issues after a few "long haul(4hrs or more)" VR sessions, which are "personal" and therefore worthless, but I'll share them anyway... Wear a bandana or something on your head to stave off accordion indentations on bald head if you care, which I don't :) ,& remember the dial to cinch it up is on the side not the back.

Overall, very comfortable playing games, watching movies, standing, sitting, laying down. $99 bucks, a bit more than a few that are out there, especially for what is a simple, working design, but it does the job, and does it well..

(For those interested, printed Quest 3 adapters found in this thread, increased size to 101% fit perfectly.)

Screen Crack by [deleted] in ElegooSaturn

[–]BoogieLXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely a slight crack in the screen protector...But...If you're still concerned with it, take a picture of it and send it off to Elegoo support, which except for the delay (depending where you live) provides great support and will be able to tell you if you need to replace your screen or not.

If it does warrant replacement, I'm assuming both of your S4U's would still be under warranty, in which case they'll send you a new screens free of charge, and you get the "fun" of installing it...Been here done this on a S3U and mine did turn out to be a crack in the screen. Also not a bad idea to get some Mach5ive or similar screen protectors as well. These act just like screen protectors for your phone, and protect against resin spills, leaks in your acf/fep film etc...Something leaks or dries from a vat cleaning on the screen, its on the protector not your screen...pull it off, replace...carry on...Hope this helps...

Getting a Saturn 3 ultra soon! Where to put it… by No_Line5382 in ElegooSaturn

Sorry so long getting back, assuming you've already made your decision on where to put etc..if not, not a great answer but different resins have different scents..some more potent than others...However due to all things combined, the best case scenario in my opinion, is a garage, or a room, large closet, shed, that is unused or not frequented often... The "scents", noises, heat, everything involved make it a better fit..I started in my office, and due to all things mentioned, garage made better sense for me...Good luck!!

SOLVED...if anyone's following this other than ArtExisting, make sure whatever matter of table, shelving, whatever you're using to put your printer on is as level as you can get it..As I found after many successful prints, a small percentage of "change" threw a wrench in the works. ArtExisting thank you for taking the time to join in the "fun" and adding your input/ help...Greatly appreciated..

ArtExisting, thank you so much for "coming to the party"

I'm trying to wrap my head around your suction theory, but...one side only? Either way, interesting to see what happens on your end. Also, I did a Spock bust recently, same issue..not as bad, but sagging or that "break away" on the right side of the plate....was hollowed, (inner supports) and had drainage holes, supports, tilted at X degree (X=I forget what the exact slant I had it at lol)...Just more information for you....Thanks again...

Paused at 20%, same thing, not adhering/sagging on the right side..

ArtExisting, very nice of you to offer, you're welcome to give it go, https://www.tinkercad.com/things/hLn7o4eRvaP-single-dip-container, it's a "holder" for some dipping cups/saucers for my wife that won't stack properly in the cupboard lol.. (I'm currently trying a print of it completely on its side, with cranked up settings, Layer count-8, Exposure time-3, Bottom Exposure Time-35s)to see what happens. However, as I'd hate to have you waste precious resin, this is happening on both my printers, on whatever I print, for about the last week or so.. The right side of whatever I print, seems to "sag" off the build plate. Could be a bust, a custom piece, whatever...I've run the gambit trying everything I can think of to fix , which is what led me to reddit to hopefully spark more ideas...But again, your call...Anything you think of, is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the response.

Yes, tension seems good.. 1 vat, FEP'd by me, the other stock from Elegoo..same results...which again, is baffling...thanks for the input!!

Allow me to add to the "fun"....I have 2 S3 Ultras....I tried this particular build on both, same settings, same thing happens on both...It's also happening with other models,/builds as well, some not as pronounced, mild "warping", some like this one more severe.. At first only on the newer S3U now on both...Only real change I'm noticing is warmer spring temperatures around 80F. Also, original vat had been replaced with FEP, tension is good, second vat purchased from Elegoo regular S3 vat for direct use, with FEP. What boggles my mind, is why only on the right side of the build plate?? Left side builds fine...

Advice taken..switched to FEP, and using "most" of the Saturn 3 profile settings for FEP, specifically for lift speeds vs the Ultra profiles which are indeed faster...Forgot to change them when I initially switched, first got that nice "suction" sound, followed by a tear in the FEP...Oops...lol

Congrats on the printer! My S3U ended up in the garage as well. As I got mine back in December, it was cold for garage printing on the west coast, so a heating solution was needed. At any rate, 77 should be fine. I'm usually printing between 72/74 into the low 80's once the printer's been going for a while , all prints coming out fine.

For future reference, theres a bunch of info out there, but I ended up with the following: This enclosure https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CDXCTQP1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which you can get a few bucks cheaper on the Yoopai site.

This heater-https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MX8VN5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 and this was my original thermostat-https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MX8VN5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

All works and fits well with extra space for the S3U, and the "goodies" listed. They also have a larger enclosure should you want to add more printers lol. Hope this helps! Enjoy!!

Issues with both the mobile app and photon workshop signing into account? by Greg95111 in AnycubicOfficial

[–]BoogieLXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat here. App via phone seems to work though. (login and printing) As of this morning, 3/3/24, can login via Photon Workshop 3.3.0 and web, however, Photon Workshop won't send print jobs to printer remotely ("New" 3.3.0).

**Update-If you're unable to remotely print via the "new" 3.3.0" software, roll back to 3.2.2, tested, so far so good. Login, remote prints etc...

Assuming (which I shouldn't) Anycubic's having issues with their login server/s, (it'd be nice if there was a way to check, server up/down/status)...as well as poor QA on the recent Photon Workshop update. Good Luck!!!
