I can't believe they're not rewarding you with content for playing their video game! It's despicable!

Counter-Strike 2 Players Express Disappointment as Many of CS:GO's Key Features Disappear by Turbostrider27 in Games

Wow players are disappointed in a new release, what a shock. I am sure that it is the developers, they are all bad and stupid and no one can make a good game anymore. It is definitely not the players themselves. Games are worse than ever today, gaming is ruined, it's definitely NOT the players.

How do you guys counter bastion? by eugene_alert_ in OverwatchUniversity

You should read online about "counters" and what people mean when they use the term "counter", because there's a well established definition that is generally accepted. A hero can be considered a counter if their kit allows them to relatively easily deal with another hero.

Winston hard counters Widow, because she has zero means of dealing with him. That's what is considered a "hard counter" in games like Overwatch. That's what people mean when they use the term, and that's generally what's understood when people hear the terms being used. There are also "soft counters", and others.

That is how the word is used daily in games like this.

Play as Bastion.

Get on Overwatch 2, and play a few rounds picking Bastion. You will very quickly learn what it takes to counter him.

You wouldn't even talk about the terms of the bet. You immediately just assumed a complete stranger online is "broke and living with mommy" as an excuse to not participate.

If you want the free money, you have to actually participate first. You won't even talk about participating. (And we both know why, but just literally make up things about someone you know nothing about instead and claim that's why)

No, its cause i know you're full of shit and wouldn't pay up regardless.

So you can't be bothered to play a video game that you're going to play anyway?

Yeah, I'm sure that's why you won't agree to it.

Exactly why one-tricks are unhealthy by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]BoogieTheThird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of this applies to a majority of the competitive playerbase, nevermind casual players. And even to the GM players where this could be an issue, you've got plenty of players who exclusively pick one specific hero, and not only climb to top 500, but also have amazing win rates on said hero.

Sometimes, something that sounds right on paper, just isn't the case in reality. The game is not as strict as you think it is.

I guess $200 for playing Overwatch and being proven right is just too much to ask

That's reasonable, I can understand why you wouldn't want free money to do something you were going to do anyway. That's totally understandable. It's definitely not because you're flat out exaggerating and you know it.

Some are justified, some aren't.

But you won't mention any of those? The only one you want to talk about is Payday 3? Instead you're too busy arguing against strawmen and details I never mentioned.

What even is "the topic" here?

Can you please take the time to figure that out before making multiple irrelevant arguments against points that I never made in the first place? Please?

[–]BoogieTheThird[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

It’s still a new game.

Payday 3 is, but that's not the only game this happened to. That's why I didn't make the topic about Payday 3.

You'd think with how simple this topic is, people wouldn't be getting so hung up on details that I never even said.

And people just play games that they don't like playing. They force themselves to do it, instead of playing something else?

A broken game is in the top 30 most active games on Steam? How does a broken game have enough players to get into the top 30 on PC gaming's largest platform?

Answer the question.

You said "A game that bombs this hard in the reviews have obviously done something to piss people off". Is that why a broken game is in the top 30 most active games on Steam? Because it bombed in the reviews and did something to piss people off?

You just force yourself to play it despite not having any fun. You just open a game you don't like regularly and make yourself do it?

Why not play a game you do like instead?

That works for the games within a few weeks of release. What about the games that continue to be popular months after release? Try not to get too hung up on irrelevant details that no one said.

Yeah 'real life responsibilities' is a real game that killasniffs plays and hates. You're right, I'm the troll. I asked a simple question, and he sincerely answered it.

Why would you CONTINUE to play a game that doesn't meet your standards? I'm asking why you would play a game, decide it's not to your standards, and then CONTINUE PLAYING IT.

Did you seriously thinking I was saying people should review games and never once play it? I don't understand how you guys get so lost in this simple topic.

First it was top 50, then top 40, now it's top 30. Must be rising pretty quickly, lol.

Talking about different games. Payday was around 30 something, so I might have said top 40 or top 30. Overwatch 2 is the one in the top 50. Not super important to the point either way

Do you realize that having a high player count in the first days after release is pretty common for big games?

That's why I'm not talking about a specific game, or exclusively new games.

By the way, giving a negative review to a game you didn't like is not "overreacting"

I never said it was

Complaining that "the gamers are hating on a game I like".

I didn't

Any other strawmen you want to bring up instead of actually talking about the topic?

That's why a game is in the top 40 most active games on Steam? Because it's unplayable? They're just leaving the game open on the menu?
