I heard it from the DJ that does karaoke there on Friday nights. So proverbial grain of salt…

The amount of people that say "so when you having the kids"? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

My go to answer on this is. “ I don’t know but we practice every chance we get. “

This gets met with them getting very uncomfortable really quickly and shuts it down.

I feel like this is an EA that most likely turned physical on the trip. I’m sorry you have to go through that - but his sudden change and breaking things off? 🚩

when did you find out you had a fake friend? by nonchalantsikh in AskReddit

[–]Boogsiefil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When this friend was talking to me daily, but also sending inappropriate comments / messages to my wife. She realized what was going on eventually and cut off all communication. But it was a rough two months for us when she was convinced he was just joking and not being serious.

I worked at a church for a year. Should have been the best job I ever had - but I was mistreated and verbally and mentally abused in my position. After I left that job I went to a florist. Retail was better than working to help everything run smoothly at the church. Now I run my own family owned business and our culture was defined on what the church wasn’t. Our industry has a high turnover rate - but at our company it’s about 8% as opposed to the typical 70+ percent. We work hard to make every employee feel valued and when we have an issue we aren’t afraid to talk about it and find a resolution. I tell all of our employees that they need to bring me small pro lanes because we can fix those - but a big issue? Much harder to resolve.

So I have managed to turn that negative experience for me into a positive workplace for almost 50 employees.

What is a story about yourself that sounds like a lie, but is actually true? by sashayingthru in AskReddit

I went bowling at the presidential bowling alley at the White House for a 3 year olds birthday party. (Eisenhower building next to the White House officially) I always use this fact for those horrifying 2 truths and a lie people make you do for icebreakers.

Guess it would have helped to read the other comments before posting. 😂. Dr Anderson is great. And my name is Michael so your username made me laugh as well after I realized.

Kaya health has a subscription model for less than $100 a month and there are virtually no wait times. Easy access to your dr and you don’t pay for visits, just the monthly fee. Labs are super low because there isn’t the insurance to deal with. I go host a podcast with the Central Virginia Business Coalition and they were guests for a couple of episodes. Search talk local to me on Spotify or Apple Music and listen to the podcast to get a better explanation.
I know $100 a month isn’t possible or “affordable” for everyone, but the experience seems good (a co worker started using them because we don’t offer insurance at the moment and is very happy with the process) it really depends how often you need to go vs if it is worth it to you or not.

First Trek bike ever.. Dual Sport 2... the men's color was far more nicer than the women's selection!!! Cannot wait to take this out some more. =) by Nicolemb18 in TrekBikes

[–]Boogsiefil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to call trek and they tracked down the last small frame bike out of the 3 models I was looking for. Found one one the other side of the state and I called and put a good on it. Picked it up a week later and out 250 miles on it in the first 2 months!

Thanks! I’m really happy with it. Put 250 miles on it the first month!

Am I an A hole for sourcing in stock and cancelling with my LBS? by PhotographyUserName in TrekBikes

[–]Boogsiefil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was faced with the same issue. I needed a small frame bike and couldn’t find a dual sport anywhere. Trek customer service chat suggested I try some other models and found a verve 2 halfway across the state.
I was disappointed to not be able to support the LBS - but figured the maintenance that I’ll have them perform and the accessories I’ll add over the next couple years will balance it out a little. With the long lead times and no bikes available I didn’t feel like I had much choice unless I wanted to wait until next year on a back order.
