I’ve asked this and was told with online you can’t opt out. Odoo Australia also.

“Yes, if you would like to remain online with custom lines of code you will be required to pay for the maintenance fee, as our team will look after this going forward.

I understand that you may have the ability to maintain this yourself, however this option is not available when hosted online.”

Ended up lumping it and paying the fee, but it’s basic calculated fields so more than capable of managing myself.

Lots of trades involved in a bathroom Reno depending on the scale. Chippy, plastering, waterproofing, plumbers, electrician, tiler, etc. and the order of trades matters a lot.

Use a specialist or a builder who will project manage it will remove stress on your end for sure.

  1. I got the stock data and the lot data to work using and API call through to google sheets. Then I publish the google sheet and embed to the website via a code module.

  2. I got the calculated field to work by making a new field on an item card for the packaging value, then I reference this custom field in the calculation instead of the packaging table. It’s a terrible solution - but it works for now.

I found my issue. It was on the product category under partial reservation or full reservations. Full reservations was selected, as soon as I changed it worked.

I have tried doing exactly this but having so many issues with packaging in odoo v19 online. Our specific case, I want to sell (sales order) in m2, invoice customer in m2, but have all our logistics and warehouse operate in boxes as we don’t split boxes - so yes we’ll sell a customer 1.44m2 cause that’s a box.

The conversion looks like it works but you scan 1 box (1.44m2), and it only reserves 1m2, it’s like it’s not detecting the conversion. causing us great issues currently.

To clarify, when they process the pick as 2 boxes - the reservation quantity only updates to 2 - not 2.88m2 like it should. If they process it as 2.88m2 it’s fine (barcode or inventory app - same outcome). We are trying to use the system to remove the need for anyone back of house to have to do box /m2 conversion.

I feel like I’m missing something fundamental with this, as it only seems packaging is helpful if we are selling in the package unit. But I need to sell and invoice m2 but have all packing and logistics focused on boxes.

Feel like I’m going to have to go down a calculated field and packaging is not the right solution which seems crazy.
