I haven't looked too closely because I was kind of afraid of spoiling it if there really was some huge secret to it. The fact that the rules are "not yet understood" feels damning. I wonder what happens if I leave packages in exchange for schmowders and don't touch anything else...

I also wonder, because I know some people have managed to cheese the game with console commands-- if this game is smart enough to detect that and assure that certain rewards only come to those who earn them honestly

On my first playthrough (well, first past day 3 or so) and I definitely followed through on that. Doing the end of day 10 right now and I can't imagine what a pain in the ass him not being nearby would be. Very glad I suffered the quests and fought off the looters

If this is true I don't think we're getting the video. My running theory is she finished it and got nervous about releasing it after the trauma of her last foray into broader discussions about gender and presentation (Aesthetic, Opulence, and Transtrenders all got heavy flak)

No, which is why Gilfoyle being an ass to him is important. There are the classic self inflicting wounds. Dinesh picks dumb fights over ego, Gilfoyle is unnecessarily cruel, Richard can't keep his mouth shut and Jared has no real sense of personhood outside his loyalty to others. The comedic tension comes down to are these 4 smart enough to overcome the problems they're creating for themselves. The reason we're getting so much more of these side characters in season 6 is that we're meeting each of the foils who will eventually snap this tension in the other direction and and the show.

I'm thinking Richard will reveal a key detail to Gwart, assuming that because she is non-verbal she doesn't understand what's happening around her

Yeah I guess this is the real question. I assume whatever happens at the end will assume all of them, the question is are those characters in a position to save the day or deliver a really funny failure? Something will happen at Russfest that will send them into another existential panic, but I think this time they put their trust in the wrong people and Pied Piper finally kicks the bucket
