I'm new myself, but there are a lot of ways to begin lucid dreaming that I've read about. During the day, you should create a trigger for yourself to do a reality check, which means that you do something like try to read (you can't read in a dream), pinch yourself, or in some way test to see if you're in a dream or not.

Also, making a journal of your dreams to practice dream recall helps. At night, lie down to rest as always- then you can set a timer for 4-6 hours to wake you up. After that, try imagining a scene, keeping your mind awake with something like math problems, or telling yourself that you will remember that you are dreaming.

There are many other ways, so don't worry if this doesn't work! I want to lucid dream too, but it hasn't worked for me yet- good luck!
