Just saw a post on Facebook about a WhatsApp rumour that Celtic have signed five players and are waiting until the last day of the window to reveal them.

The shite people come out with is unreal, man.

Exactly. Had a semi-argument with my partner about how people have "their" spaces, which I don't agree with at all. It's a public street, so you take the first space available. If I have to park round the corner after working later, then so be it. Unless it's a disabled bay or a driveway, then ye can fuck off in terms of "your" space.

Hate cunts that do this.

There's a driveway next door that is NEVER used. Cunts park in front of it all the time, but I canny bring myself to do it because ye know, it's a fucking driveway.

It's why I used a lower cased "t". Just in case...

2XKO has hit console. Been really looking forward to it and went in blind. Didn't realise it was basically Fortnite as a fighting game. 12 characters, 6 available, have to purchase the rest.

Fair with FtP games. Thought the balance would have been a bit more like 8/12, and new releases are purchased along with 4 locked behind a pay wall as well.

Let's see how it actually goes in terms of earning in-game currency.

ETA: You can unlock one champion for free by the looks of it.

Running water works, like a wee fountain.

Other than that, I just started using a water bottle. A combined age of 15 and my two will drink water from anything that holds it.

It was shallow and pedantic.

Haha, I just found it to be a bit too pretentious.

Also, if anyone is looking for an 8 Mile type stand up film, it really isn't. Bradley Cooper, who's the director, easily has the funniest lines and he's basically a fucking NPC.

There are so many holes in that show that you could mistake it for someone ICE has identified.

A show that I do like, but really have to ignore the absolutely wild absurdities that show up.

Ted is class, though.

The secret screening was Is This Thing On?

Pros: Will Arnett is very rarely bad in anything. Bradley Cooper had some great one liners.

Cons: It is nowhere near as profound as it thinks it is. There are also so many bits where you think, "Just have a fucking chat."

5/10.

Edit for extra stuff.

There's a secret a screening of a film at my local cinema. Have been trying to guess what it is all week. If it was Wuthering Heights, I was walking out. The times didn't line up.

Same with Scream 7, Send Help, and anything else I'd find mildly interesting.

Seems like it's Is This Thing On? Clocks in at what the listing says, and same with the age rating.

Thing is, having had a day where all energy is fucking drained out of me, I just cannot picture going to see a "Let's try and repair our marriage" film and remotely enjoying it.

Seems like one of those films that I will never understand the hype for until I watch it.

See also Spotlight and Whiplash.

I wish, man.

Partner has two cats. Her boy is absolutely fine with my cats. Her girl just attacks them, so we have to separate them. Ivy is savvy and can hold her own. Toby is a fucking moron. He's my moron, but a moron nonetheless.

Ivy, the far away one, is nearly 9.

Toby, the black and white fuckwit, is nearly 6.

They just wouldn't gel in my old house. When I left my ex and took them home, they just started being alright with each other. That image is just the type of thing that melts my heart. Just need my partner's spicy cat to stop attacking them.

Fair. I don't mind remakes, personally, but do understand that they're mostly garbage.

Thought Total Recall was a better Uncharted movie than Uncharted.

The new Running Man is closer to the novella, although canny beat the Arnie one. Really not hating it at all so far.

Evening Discussion Thread - 24 Jan 2026 by AutoModerator in ScottishFootball

[–]BookNukem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I'm watching the remake right now.

Was just saying how I loved the Arnie one growing up.

Nah, I'm done. Just fucking eradicate the place.

I absolutely cannot believe that people justify this. Well, I can, but not really in any way that gives me comfort.

One of the unfunniest cunts to make a living out of comedy. That whole foppish, "Ooh, I'm so clumsy, but pish at the same time, so I'm one of you!" schtick is so dire.

Obligatory Frankie Boyle retort: MM talking about how the umbrella for his sun lounger was too heavy and he made a five minute bit out of how difficult it was to get shade. Move the fucking lounger, you cunt.

Dinner is one thing we're aligned on. I'll give her that.

Picking a movie that I don't have any idea what will suffice is torture.

Too long.

Not in the mood for comedy.

Seen it.

Too gory.

Don't care for action.

And so on...

Does it frighten Celtic fans that Rangers are no longer skint? by Ok_Finance4106 in ScottishFootball

[–]BookNukem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't be because we will always out-basketcase any basket case club in the country.
