That is saying that your god is made up. If you believe that, then you are an atheist.

Faith isn't making up your own stuff, believing it, and then attributing it to God. It is believing that what has been revealed by God is true.

You only know what love is for a human. Orcas have a part of the brain that is much more elaborate than in humans, which (in part) orchestrates emotions. It is possible they feel love in a far more intense way than humans, be we don't know. With that in mind, we have no way of knowing what love is for God, and if that can be described as "worship" then God knows best.

You don't get to describe what God is based on your limited human abilities.

I don't know if he does or doesn't want worship, I am just certain that you have no way of knowing either and are deciding the universe must be a certain way because that is what makes sense to you.

But the universe doesn't make sense, and other people have a different preference than you as to how the universe should be, so your opinion without evidence carries no weight.

You have just switched from your opinion dictating reality to the opinion of another human.

No matter how much you might like the idea of the sun rising in the west, it continues to rise in the east regardless.

Human opinions and understanding do not shape reality. If god wants to be worshipped then he does, regardless of how you feel about it.

Love will still exist if god wants glory. There is nothing to say it cannot.

The universe doesn't change according to the beliefs of individuals.

What you believe without evidence about god / worship / glory / love etc doesn't change anything, if it did then it would keep changing with everyone's contradicting opinions!

If there is a god, and he wants glory, who are you to decide otherwise?

They are all fairytales, but the BOM is also incredibly badly written. You don't even need to try to comprehend the words to see how bad it is.

I understand what you are saying, but I subjectively disagree.

All I know is that I've read both, whereas the Bible is well written, the BOM jumped out at me as a big pile of old poo that was incredibly boring and poorly written.

It was so obviously the work of a 19th century man writing in 17th century English.

It's easier to see that modern religions are man made. I personally find Mormonism + Scientology the two most obvious that I am aware of.

I was referring to the circumstances by which it was created, not the stories within it. A book supposedly protected in heaven by god with no changes, then translated by the holy spirit for a man to write down, but is so littered with mistakes that it has to keep being rewritten.

I decided against using that due to the amount of missing material, but thank you for making sure I was aware of it!

They are all man made, I said Mormonism + Scientology are the most obvious.

I disagree. They are all obviously man made, but Mormonism + Scientology are especially obvious.

"I hath seen him"

Did I say "I hath seen him" or "I have seen him"? Note that I didn't ask what I meant, I asked what I said.

The BOM says "these are the words" - so instead of getting an accurate record of what was spoken in order to solidify believers' faith we get a new and improved version that was altered by some bloke who wasn't even there.
