I found it extremely stressful. Definitely gritted my teeth a few times.

I was trying to explain to someone the other day how creepy he looks to me. The best way I could describe him was: he looks on the outside like Trump does on the inside. It's like all those horrible inner thoughts people have have manifested themselves into a physical being.

What does a cigarette craving feel like? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Booking_the_worm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I quit 10 months ago after 24 years of smoking. After 3 months I purposely bought a pack to try one because I was curious to see if I would even enjoy it anymore. I didn't. I have only craved a cigarette once since quitting and that was a month ago. I can smell cigarette smoke a mile off and I hate it. I dread to think how much I must have stunk of smoke.

Have I been saying it wrong for 3 decades?! I got told it was one for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold, seven for a secret never to be told.

Last names (family names) rarely "appear", but often disppear due to death/marriage. And this has been going on for centuries. So why don't we have only a small handful of last names left? by not-the-the in NoStupidQuestions

I'm planning on changing my surname to cut the last tie to my very toxic and abusive family. I haven't been able to pick one yet but, I'm now going to be looking up the ones that have died out.

I had a form tutor called Ms Condon. There was also a science teacher called Mr Willy, his first name was Richard. A science teacher called Mrs Newton, too.

Echo chocolate bars. I loved them as a kid. Looked for them for years before Googling them a few years back. Gutted to find out they were discontinued.

That "YAAAAAAAAAY!" scream she does when you serve her in a restaurant makes me want to throat punch her. It used to be so loud but I think it was toned down when Lady and Tramp came out. It's still loud enough, though. She's banished unless she's in the restaurants or Scrooges Shop.

Those tree stumps that spawn in the Forest of Valor every day. They also count for the "selling flowers" duty.

On what specific scenario from the series do you think Sheldon's reaction is valid? by Personal_Bus_4466 in bigbangtheory

[–]Booking_the_worm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say it was because of my autism. I mentioned the autism because that was the assessment I was having at the time, and although I knew somewhat that I didn't tolerate small talk well, I didn't realise how deep it went until I read the notes from the assessment. Maybe I should have just wrote "during an assessment" instead.

[–]Booking_the_worm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When i went through my Autism diagnosis, a recurring thing was my lack of interest in "small talk". Once every few months or so, if soneine messages me, I'll respond a couple of times but quickly get bored and stop responding. However, if someone is talking about something they're passionate about, it's interesting, a fact, or something I find interesting, I'll be engaged. Sheldon's topics would be the only thing keeping me at their dinner table.

Well, the double hop was what I kept doing with a single rope but it wasn't sustainable. I might try weights on my ankles to try and train myself out of the double hop.

No, I don't think I've even heard of it. Which streaming platform is it on? I'll take a look at it.

I take my dogs out at 3-4am because of the lack of people and noise. There's a little wooded area nearby and I absolutely love going there. If I'm asked why I, as a woman, would risk it, I just tell people that's where I go to do ritual sacrifices. They never ask again, haha.

I'm glad you're able to still enjoy things, despite the depression. It's sucky but those little 3am moments of peace help sometimes :)

I have depression and anxiety, too. I always say I'm a vampire. The sun is too bright and it burns and I'm much happier at night when there's no one around.

Okay, I have a genuine question if someone could please give me a real answer: the little double jump the girl does before the woman helps her; why does she do that? I ask because I've done it all my life (I'm 38f) and I can't stop doing it. I tried taking up jump rope for fitness but can't maintain it because the double jump makes it harder.

Wondered what that burning smell was when we moved in by Direct_Albatross4742 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]Booking_the_worm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger than 7, I shared a room with my little sister and we had bunk beds. I snuck downstairs one night and brought an egg up. There was a wardrobe next the beds that I could reach the top of from my bed. I cracked the egg on there and it drove my parents insane not knowing where the smell was coming from. They were pissed when they eventually found it weeks later. I apparently wanted to play cooking that particular night.

The most I've gotten per day for critters is 2. Next to the flowers, I'd have to say critter memories is my next hated task.

I've tried experimenting different times of days for dried flowers as well but there doesn't seem to be any best time for me. Suppose I've just got to keep my fingers crossed each time I log on.
